Wordless Stele

The Wordless Stele is the Southern Immortal Celestial Pillar, an Immortal Domain relic that reduces things and phenomena to their originating Dao laws and manifests those laws as True Immortal seal script. (Chapters 1383–1385)

History

When the Immortal Domain unfolds, the Wordless Stele stabilizes its heaven and earth while drawing remnants, worlds, artifacts, and laws from across the Darkest Star Sea. The True Immortal from the Immortal Ruins reaches it during the Dao Annihilation Calamity and inscribes Hunger, producing a pillar of light that temporarily supports the collapsing domain. Li Fan then throws White Ring Descends into Mortal World into it, manifesting Innate and strengthening the defense enough for the True Immortal to break through the black mist. (Chapter 1383)

As Truth activates, the complete stele senses and manifests an overwhelming number of seal-script characters, then shatters under the load. A fist-sized fragment follows Li Fan through reincarnation and becomes bound to Truth. The panel identifies it only through unreadable symbols followed by “Leg Bone”; Li Fan hypothesizes that the Southern Pillar was forged from a Nameless True Immortal's remains, but the supplied corpus does not confirm the artisan, victim, or full construction history. He later uses the fragment to derive an Immortal-Mortal Transformation character from You Clan sacrifices and the Restrain decree from a pure strand of foreign golden light. (Chapters 1384–1385, 1391)

Description and function

The complete stele stands at the Immortal Domain's center with a majestic aura strong enough to freeze Li Fan's thoughts and suppress other laws, including his Wooden Sword phantom and Transformation of Truth and Falsehood. Absorbed matter leaves mottled shadows as it returns toward primordial law. The retained fragment looks like an ordinary round gray stone roughly the size of a fist and lacks the complete pillar's immediate flood of insight. (Chapters 1383–1385)

Abilities and limitations

Dao reversion and seal-script manifestation

The stele decomposes physical things, phenomena, and even embodied laws, then expresses its analysis as True Immortal seal-script characters. Direct law manifestations are highly efficient: the Innate ring independently produces a complete character, and a few strands of the Dust Abyss golden light complete Restrain. Ordinary flesh is far less efficient; even consuming ninety percent of the You Clan initially reveals only a fraction of the intended Immortal-Mortal Transformation character. (Chapters 1383–1385, 1391)

Celestial-pillar stabilization

Its mere appearance stabilizes the Immortal Domain and makes it the center toward which the surrounding Star Sea collapses. Inscribed characters power a heaven-supporting beam capable of pushing back the Dao Annihilation black mist. One True Immortal exhausting herself into Hunger is insufficient for lasting victory, while Innate provides a major second reinforcement. The pillar resists the calamity only to a degree; it does not erase it outright. (Chapters 1383–1384)

Fragment limits and hazards

The retained leg-bone fragment is far weaker and requires enormous quantities of closely related material to derive a character. Manifested laws can also leak back out: the incomplete Immortal-Mortal Transformation character subtly advances the You Clan's ancestral reversion until Li Fan encloses it in Immortal-grade formations. At the other extreme, Truth causes the complete stele to manifest more characters than it can bear and blow apart, showing that even the Celestial Pillar has a capacity limit. (Chapters 1384–1385, 1391)

Custody and users

No mortal owns the complete Wordless Stele; it manifests as part of the Immortal Domain. The Immortal Ruins True Immortal reaches and powers it, while Li Fan contributes the white ring from outside. After the stele's destruction, one fragment enters Truth's reincarnation process as an unintended stowaway and becomes a retained, bound item under Li Fan's controlled experimentation. • White Ring Descends into Mortal World: Resolves into Innate on contact, revealing the ring's law and strengthening the Celestial Pillar. (Chapters 1383–1385)
  • Truth: Triggers the stele's catastrophic mass manifestation and later binds the surviving fragment to Li Fan. (Chapters 1383–1385)
