Sun Xingwang
Sun Xingwang is a mysterious Xuantian Sect Dharma King remembered for concealment, counsel, and techniques that Li Fan later uses to counterfeit his identity.
Biography
Xuantian’s Lost Immortal Techniques
Li Fan reconstructs Sun Xingwang through remnants of the Xuantian Sect, identifying the Secret Canon of Sitting in Oblivion and other lost methods associated with the Dharma King. Surviving recollections portray the real Sun as an eccentric adviser whom Xuanyuan Hong consulted before major decisions and as a man who remained hidden in shadows for much of the year. From Chapter 945 onward, however, the apparent “Brother Xingwang” who meets Mo Rubin, feigns forgetfulness, and advances the Xuantian Nether-Lock plan is Li Fan in disguise, not Sun Xingwang acting in the present. (Chapters 929–1005; Chapter 1315)
Appearance and personality
The authentic Sun Xingwang's stable facial features and clothing are not supplied. Memory instead emphasizes an elusive silhouette hidden in shadow, together with a mysterious, eccentric reputation and the trust placed in his judgment. The appearance adopted by Li Fan during the impersonation cannot safely be treated as a confirmed portrait of Sun's original body. (Chapters 945–1005; Chapter 1315)
Abilities and cultivation
Secret Canon of Sitting in Oblivion
This lost Xuantian method obscures identity, appearance, memory, or presence strongly enough for Li Fan to reproduce a recognizable Sun Xingwang aura and deceive an old colleague. Its full original range is not preserved: demonstrations during the “Brother Xingwang” operation belong to Li Fan's reconstruction and performance, so they prove what the copied method can enable without proving Sun used every tactic in the same way. (Chapters 929–965)
Dharma King counsel and lost techniques
Sun's place among the Twelve Dharma Kings and Xuanyuan Hong's reliance on his advice indicate exceptional knowledge and institutional importance. Li Fan associates additional word-and-law-like effects with his inheritance, but the corpus does not provide a complete original manual, formal realm, or uninterrupted biography. Those abilities remain a recovered legacy rather than a fully documented personal progression. (Chapters 929–1005)
Relationships
- Xuanyuan Hong, the Xuantian King, is remembered as consulting Sun before important decisions.
- Mo Rubin knew Sun as a fellow Xuantian figure, which makes Li Fan's impersonation effective.
- Li Fan reconstructs Sun's methods and identity; his later acts as “Brother Xingwang” must not be assigned to the historical Sun.
Items
- No personal weapon, artifact, or surviving treasure is securely assigned to Sun Xingwang in the supplied corpus.
- The Xuantian Nether-Lock plan and Sitting in Oblivion are techniques or schemes, not inventory items owned by the present-day impersonation.
