Xuanyuan Hong

Xuanyuan Hong, better known as the Xuantian King, is the founder of the Xuantian Sect and architect of an ancient attempt to carry the Xuanhuang Realm beyond the High Wall.

Biography

Chapter 905

Xuanyuan Hong appears directly through preserved memories, returning from an attempted ascension with severe injuries and refusing Ji Yuzhen's offer to heal him at the cost of her primal soul. His tenderness toward her coexists with responsibility for a realm-wide crisis: as Xuantian King he gathers the Twelve Dharma Kings, unifies forces, modifies True Immortal remains, and designs the Floating Across Starry Sky Formation to move Xuanhuang away from catastrophe. Later investigators reconstruct his fears that the immortal remains might revive and his safeguards against that outcome. The plan fails or is interrupted, and Xuanyuan disappears from the present age, leaving Mo Rubin and other followers to interpret a leader whose power and caution shaped their remaining choices. Appearance and personality

Xuanyuan Hong has a firm, resolute face, star-bright eyes, and a strikingly handsome appearance. He speaks warmly to intimates but becomes stern when they would sacrifice themselves for him. His remembered conduct is protective, technically ambitious, suspicious of uncontrolled immortal forces, and willing to bear responsibility on a world scale. (Chapters 905–907)

Abilities and cultivation

Self-directed words of law

Xuanyuan can speak qualities such as “Immense Strength” or “Walking the Way of Heaven” and impose them upon himself. The ability changes his own state rather than rewriting the entire external world, distinguishing it from related later techniques. (Chapter 929)

Floating Across Starry Sky Formation

He personally designs a near-immortal-rank world-moving formation intended to carry Xuanhuang across the High Wall. Only damaged structures and later analysis remain, so its complete activation requirements and failure point are unresolved. (Chapters 907 and 1274–1278)

Relationships

• Ji Yuzhen: Their preserved meeting shows deep affection and Xuanyuan's refusal to purchase recovery with her foundational soul.
