Linghu Chang
Linghu Chang is a Medicine King Sect disciple awakened from the True Cauldron into a transformed cultivation world, where grief for his sect becomes a commitment to rebuild it.
Biography
Chapter 403
Linghu Chang wakes inside the Medicine King True Cauldron expecting rescue and quickly helps Xiao Heng's group understand the cauldron, the Life and Death Gate, and the ancient catastrophe. Discovering dead fellow disciples forces his initial excitement into mourning; he cremates and buries them, salvages what can sustain the lineage, and resolves to restore the True King or Medicine King Sect. Shocked by the modern monopoly on cultivation, he joins Xiao Heng's Rebirth Immortal circle and later appears in Han Wuyou's projected rebel history, where surviving ancient knowledge supports resistance and formation research. (Chapters 403–422; Chapter 621)
Appearance and personality
The supplied chapters do not establish Linghu Chang's stable physical appearance. His first reactions are talkative, excited, and somewhat naive about how much the outside world has changed. Grief reveals a dutiful and reverent side, while his decision to rebuild the sect shows resilience rather than passive nostalgia. He is also adaptable enough to cooperate with modern cultivators after recognizing their common danger. (Chapters 403–416)
Abilities and cultivation
Medicine King Sect knowledge
Linghu Chang understands the True Cauldron's refuge functions, the Life and Death Gate, ancient sect practices, and the historical context surrounding the Immortal Ruins. That knowledge makes him a guide to technology others can access but do not understand. The text does not supply a secure formal realm or named personal combat art, and command of cauldron procedures does not make him its owner. (Chapters 403–409)
Sect preservation
He gathers surviving resources from fallen disciples, performs funerary duties, and commits their inheritance to rebuilding the sect. In the projected future he collaborates on formation blueprints with Han Wuyou and Liu Yihang, showing that his ancient education remains practically useful. (Chapters 408–416; Chapters 419–420)
