Ling Xiao
Ling Xiao is Tianyang's talkative second senior brother, a brush-transforming cultivator whose vivid illustrated writings outlive the destruction of his ancient sect.
Biography
Ancient Body Transformation Dao
Ling Xiao cares for the sick Tianyang, brings him a small puppet, and tries to hide his grief while the sect faces an Immortal Recruitment Order. During the warmer interval that follows, he jokes, teaches his junior about the Longevity Clans, writes scandalous illustrated tales, and conceals considerable combat strength behind a frivolous reputation. When sect members must leave for war, Ling defeats Lian Chang to prevent the junior from taking his place, entrusts dozens of unsold works to Tianyang, and never returns. Millennia later, Li Fan recovers and uploads those authentic posthumous works under Ling's name. (Chapters 230–238)
Appearance and personality
The source does not establish Ling Xiao's stable physical features. He is talkative, mischievous, thick-skinned, affectionate toward Tianyang, and fascinated by sensational romance, yet his forced smile and reddened eyes reveal fear for his family-like sect. He can also speak seriously about lifespan exploitation and quietly lets a junior believe their spars are closer than they really are. (Chapters 230–238)
Abilities and cultivation
Transforming brush
At mid Golden Core, Ling's Transformation Object is a pen that automatically records his perceptions and thoughts in elegant words and images. In combat he splashes ink into dozens of convincing flying swords and other spiritual weapons, overwhelming Lian Chang despite previously appearing weaker. The creations are illusion-like constructs of the brush, while the writing's immersive quality makes his works compelling for millennia. (Chapters 235–237)
