Guan Xingxiu
Guan Xingxiu is a former Tianyu garrison commander whose punishment strips away a major cultivation realm but not the reputation of his Falling Star sword.
Biography
Talent is Worthless After Death
Guan Xingxiu begins as a leading candidate to succeed the Garrison Court's supreme commander, only for a major case in his jurisdiction to bring suspension and a punishment that removes one cultivation realm and exiles him to Lanlin Province. There he rejects renewed competition, lends Huangfu Song a Falling Star Divine Sword for protection, and reflects with bitterness on lost status. Later altered timelines restore him to high office and show his swift intervention in Tianliang after Guan Changge disappears, demonstrating that his fall is cycle-specific rather than a permanent novel-wide endpoint. (Chapters 298–479; Chapters 739–741)
Appearance and personality
Guan is encountered in a secluded mountaintop courtyard carrying a palm-leaf fan, with a lazy or bored demeanor that conceals sharp pride. He dislikes clumsy flattery, enjoys the prospect of testing challengers, and refuses to pretend that former glory erases present loss. Later concern for Guan Changge makes him forceful and politically intimidating. (Chapters 397–400; Chapters 739–741)
Abilities and cultivation
Falling Star sword path
Guan once reaches Dao Integration and remains unusually dangerous after punishment reduces him to Soul Transformation. A projected golden sword token or sword manifestation can protect Huangfu Song's party and carries the momentum of his celebrated Falling Star Divine Sword. The later cycle also associates him with overwhelming sword skill, while the exact relationship between token, technique, and personal weapon remains incomplete. (Chapters 397–400; Chapters 739–741)
