Gong Boyu

Gong Boyu is a bearded Nascent Soul formation master who restores He Zhenghao's Hundred Veins Formation Diagram and helps assess Li Fan's early formation ability.

Biography

Fate from the Past

Gong Boyu initially receives Li Fan politely but becomes intensely interested when Li Fan presents the Interpretation of the Hundred Veins Formation Diagram left by He Zhenghao. He pays the promised contribution points, gathers other senior practitioners, and rapidly restores the legacy rather than keeping it inaccessible. Gong then tests Li Fan with a black assessment sphere and helps place his training within the Formation Hall's professional network. Later, he joins other masters investigating and maintaining major formations as Alliance conflict escalates. Mobilization to Tianling Province ends his career when a battle between Soul Transformation experts kills Gong and another Nascent Soul formation master, making institutional service the direct cause of his death. Gong Boyu is a bearded cultivator whose manner shifts from courteous reserve to visible excitement when meaningful formation knowledge appears. He is professionally curious, efficient, and willing to involve colleagues in restoration, suggesting that preserving the legacy matters more to him than solitary possession. (Chapters 127–137)

Gong leads or joins a group that reconstructs the Hundred Veins Formation Diagram from He Zhenghao's surviving scroll. The success demonstrates advanced analysis and collaboration; the final legacy remains transmitted knowledge rather than proof that Gong invented the original system. (Chapters 127–137)

Formation evaluation

He uses a small black sphere containing a consciousness-based assessment to gauge Li Fan's formation learning. The device supports Gong's judgment but is not identified as an innate technique or unrestricted combat illusion. (Chapter 137)
