He Zhenghao administers Liuli Island’s Pure Body Spirit Pool as an amiable Foundation Establishment guardian. He teaches newly purified mortals about cultivation’s dangers, wagers extra resources on Li Fan’s endurance, introduces him to Ten Thousand Immortals Island, and arranges guardian work. He openly admits that referrals and favors benefit his own cultivation and contribution balance. This pragmatism makes their relationship mutually profitable rather than charitable, yet Li Fan repeatedly finds him comparatively reliable and free of immediate malice. Formation talent, smuggling, speculation, and a doomed expedition

Short of the resources needed for his desired technique, He Zhenghao combines formation work with small-world smuggling and market speculation. He reveals the Mountain and River Vein Formation Diagrams, teaches Li Fan to cross an Immortal Extinction Formation, and then loses heavily in Spirit Mist Grass. In one cycle, his hunger for opportunity draws him into an ancient cave with five other Foundation Establishment cultivators, where all die. That death is timeline-specific, while his Mountain Meditation legacy continues through Li Fan. (Chapters 69–70; Chapters 94–97; Chapters 190–203)

Contract with Li Fan and Four-Law Golden Core

In another cycle, financial losses and leaked guardian-formation information make He Zhenghao vulnerable to punishment. Li Fan offers a fifty-year commercial contract and 250,000 contribution points, rescuing him while deepening control through debt and investment feedback. He dissolves Mountain Meditation, rebuilds Foundation Establishment through the Mountain and River Hidden Dragon Technique, and forms a Four-Law Golden Core from Earth Veins, Mountains and Rivers, Hidden Abyss, and Ascension. The rising ruin nearly kills him, but he survives and transfers to Tianyun Province. (Chapters 201–203; Chapters 251–262)

Mutual Aid gamble and Spirit-Sealing pawn

A later simulation places He Zhenghao in the Congyun Mutual Aid Association, where he first dares to resign and gamble on leaked Alliance examination questions. Inspiration transmitted through Li Fan’s Faceless Statue lets him present fragments of the Xuantian Spirit-Sealing Formation as his own. He withholds the complete design to extend his value, then leads a secret prototype under inspections by Lu Xichan. The first version fails against a Tianxuan Mirror body, leaving him exhausted but motivated by promised reunion with Heng Ruoshui, not confirmed dead or newly promoted. Appearance and personality

He Zhenghao first appears as an amiable old man treated by islanders as an Immortal Master, though retrospection says he was handsome when young. Different cycles show him as a proud formation expert, anxious debtor, restored Golden Core cultivator, or exhausted secret-project leader. He is sociable, cautious around stronger people, boastful about formations, greedy, investment-prone, and protective of his daughter. He dislikes direct enemies but becomes bold when profit, status, or reunion with Heng Ruoshui seems attainable. (Chapters 39–40; Chapters 69–70; Chapters 251–262)

Mountain and River Vein Formation Diagrams

He Zhenghao’s Foundation Establishment Treasure gives him exceptional affinity for terrain formations. He reads mountain and water veins, converts natural correspondences into arrays, constructs the Mountain River Star Formation, and senses distant formation structures. His boast that ordinary Nascent Soul formation masters might not surpass his understanding refers to formation insight, not equivalent combat strength. The diagrams continue supporting his secret construction work, but do not let him grasp the Xuantian Spirit-Sealing Formation without explanations secretly transmitted by Li Fan. Mountain Meditation Technique

Mountain Meditation is an unusual Golden Core-grade method He Zhenghao found in a cave during his youth. It produces cultivation feedback from favorable social relationships and investments, turning people who benefit through him into sources of return. His cautious nature makes him reluctant to emphasize its hostile uses, while speculation shows that “investment” can still become destructive gambling. In the Four-Law Golden Core cycle he dissolves and sells the technique after changing paths; its greatest later importance comes from Li Fan’s reconstruction and expansion. Mountain and River Hidden Dragon Technique

Using Li Fan’s loan, He Zhenghao buys this Nascent Soul-grade method because it closely matches his terrain-based Foundation Treasure. The technique rebuilds his Foundation Establishment cultivation around linked mountains and waters, then helps integrate four laws at the Three Undersea Faults. Ascension enters unexpectedly through the rising ruin and nearly kills him, showing that the core’s breadth is hazardous rather than effortless. He is confirmed at Four-Law Golden Core in that simulation; later references still call him Golden Core, and no supplied chapter confirms Nascent Soul attainment. Xuantian Spirit-Sealing Formation knowledge

Li Fan transmits formation fragments and later annotations through the Faceless Statue, while He Zhenghao publicly presents the ideas as personal inspiration. The design aims to restrain a Tianxuan Mirror body, and partial disclosure earns him institutional status and a team of six other prodigies. Knowledge of the diagram is not equivalent to constructing the finished array: the preliminary prototype loses its first test against the mirror. At He Zhenghao’s latest substantive appearance, the project remains active and his reputation depends on proving that the borrowed inspiration can become functioning craft.
