Dharma-Transmitter Wei

Dharma-Transmitter Wei is a former Alliance Dharma-Transmitter who joins Zhou's opposition to the ruling council and favors calculated, ruthless measures against its leaders.

Biography

The Shocking Truth

Wei meets Li Fan alongside Dharma-Transmitter Zhou, reacting cautiously when Li Fan displays an apparent Xuantian connection. He coolly reminds Zhou that their faction, not the victorious council, now occupies the position of rebel, and helps design a fabricated catastrophe severe enough to draw Jiang out without truly destroying the Xuanhuang Realm. In combat, Wei layers black cages that slow enemies and supports the attempt to reshape the council balance. Later, he chooses to follow a True Immortal remnant through white mist because a Dharma-Transmitter's recoverability makes the risk worthwhile to him, even if accompanying Dao Integration cultivators die. The expedition uncovers vast frozen populations and ends with Wei's death to protect the Rebirth Heavenly Sovereign's secret. (Chapters 1054–1071 and 1109–1113)

Appearance and personality

The source does not give Wei a stable detailed portrait. He is calm, analytical, and openly ruthless: he questions unsupported claims, calculates factional strength, and accepts other cultivators' deaths when the information gained seems strategically valuable. (Chapters 1054–1056 and 1109–1110)

Abilities and cultivation

Layered black cages

Wei projects horizontal and vertical black beams that intersect into cages carrying world-like weight. Each added layer further slows enemy movement and reaction, but the technique is portrayed as blunt compared with Zhou's subtler manipulation of time. (Chapter 1070)

Dharma-Transmitter recoverability

Wei believes a Dharma-Transmitter cannot truly perish in an ordinary sense and uses that assurance to justify extreme investigation. Later events still show a timeline in which his death and imprisonment matter, so the mechanism should not be simplified into unconditional immunity. (Chapters 1109–1113)
