Dharma-Transmitter Zhou

Dharma-Transmitter Zhou is a former Alliance ruler who leaves the Dharma-Transmitter Council over ideological conflict, shelters victims of institutional purges, and later cooperates with Li Fan's campaign against her former peers.

Biography

The Defected Dharma-Transmitter

Five centuries before her direct involvement, Zhou breaks with ruling figures such as Dharma-Transmitter Jiang and withdraws to a private small world. She fills it with cultivators whose clans were slaughtered by the Alliance, becoming their savior and prospective leader of a reordered world, although Li Fan learns that she also regards the unusual survivors as prized “collectibles.” When Li Fan reaches her faction, shared opposition produces a practical alliance rather than moral unity. Zhou contributes insider knowledge, conceals the exiles from ordinary Tianxuan Mirror surveillance, and joins operations meant to force Jiang into the open. Her dreamlike personal world and battle armor prove useful, but unexpected systems such as the Rebirth Mansion repeatedly complicate their plan. (Chapters 1049–1075 and 1089–1112)

Appearance and personality

Zhou is an adult woman whose ordinary clothing can transform into unfamiliar black metallic armor during battle. She is controlled, critical of Alliance orthodoxy, protective of her private collection, and bluntly irritated when allies create consequences outside the agreed plan. Zhou projects her private world over a battlefield, pulling combatants into a dreamlike city of illuminated towers. Within it she manifests black armor and a ring of twenty-four cold flying swords. Even after defection, Zhou retains exceptional resources, hidden transit methods, and knowledge of the Tianxuan Mirror's allocation of power.
