Yang Chen

Yang Chen is an analytical medical student who repeatedly organizes classmates for difficult House of Horrors scenarios. His careful preparation rarely defeats the attraction, but each failure turns him into a better-informed visitor and an important source of practical advice among the university's challengers. Biography

The inherited map fails

Yang Chen enters Mu Yang High School with Wang Dan and Lee Xue, carrying a hand-drawn map compiled from senior students' attempts. He sets rules, divides search duties, and notices that Wei Wu and Kong Xiangming behave unlike ordinary visitors. When the map becomes unreliable and the group enters an undocumented dormitory, he continues analyzing its diaries and linked tragedies until the supernatural staff overwhelm the visitors. Learning to respect the maze

Yang Chen later joins a larger attempt on the underground morgue, trying to predict the blackouts, keep the visitors together, and call Wang Dan back when darkness separates them. He and Lee Xue are ultimately found unconscious, yet he promises Chen Ge that he will return. Months later, he warns new challengers against underestimating the attraction and records Wang Dan's observations about the changing 3.5-star scenario for a future attempt. Appearance and personality

Yang Chen is a young medical student whose confidence is reinforced by strong academic performance. He is methodical, responsible, and protective of his companions, although pride can make him persist after a prudent visitor would stop. Skills and supernatural abilities

Yang Chen has no supernatural powers. His strengths are planning, pattern recognition, close reading of environmental clues, and enough medical education to assess morgue equipment and death-related details. His conclusions are sometimes wrong because Chen Ge changes layouts and introduces genuine supernatural actors, but his reasoning repeatedly identifies dangers before his companions do. Relationships

Wang Dan and Lee Xue are Yang Chen's regular classmates and scenario partners; he moderates Wang Dan's impulsiveness and relies on Lee Xue's observation and courage. Chen Ge repeatedly defeats him but also respects his determination, while Yang Chen shifts from trying to outsmart the proprietor to warning newcomers that Chen's safety instructions should be taken seriously. Yang Chen's most important tool is the notebook containing a hand-drawn scenario map, marked nametag locations, senior visitors' taboos, and later observations from new challenges.
