Xiong Qing

Xiong Qing is Patient No. 10 of the Third Sick Hall and one of the Ghost Stories Society's Red Specters. His hemineglect shapes a body split between human and ghostlike halves and an obsession with correcting what he regards as an unfair world.

Biography

The underground morgue battle

Xiong Qing enters the collapsing underground-morgue world under Doctor Gao's command, carrying intense hatred for Chen Ge after earlier defeats and humiliation. He immediately attacks Chen but is intercepted by Xu Yin, whose willingness to endure pain keeps their fight nearly even. When Doctor Gao removes the blood world's support, Chen surrounds Xiong Qing with multiple spirits and has Men Nan exploit his blind spots. Desperation makes Xiong unravel his injured half and approach a more complete ghost form, yet the combined assault shatters him before he can reverse the battle. Xu Yin refuses to consume him, so Bai Qiulin takes his remaining power and heart with Xu Yin's help. Later uses of that inherited power belong to Bai Qiulin, not to a surviving Xiong Qing. Appearance and personality

Xiong Qing has an uneven, wounded body reflecting his hemineglect, with one half capable of unraveling into blood threads like a wing. He is vengeful, cruel, unstable, and fixated on Chen Ge to the point that tactical judgment gives way to rage. His language about fairness reframes violence as correction rather than admitting his own brutality. (Chapters 448–457)

Skills and supernatural abilities

As a Red Specter, Xiong Qing can manipulate blood threads, form a wing and piercing attacks, regenerate with support from a blood world, and fight Xu Yin at close range. Under mortal pressure he begins converting his remaining body toward a complete ghostly state. Loss of environmental blood support, coordinated attacks, and his psychological fixation on Chen leave him vulnerable to being surrounded and consumed. (Chapters 448–457)
