Miss Red

Miss Red is an unknown-type Red Specter connected to Ying Tong's childhood who later joins the House of Horrors.

Biography

Narrative role

Ying Tong remembers Miss Red as an unusually clean woman with wet hair and red clothing, one of the adults around him before Ying Chen's crimes were exposed. She becomes another of Ying Chen's victims and is imprisoned through a Ghost Fetus mud statuette, but her spirit remains hostile to the murderer and aligned with those trying to protect the child. (Chapters 1058–1065)

During the final confrontation, Miss Red attacks Ying Chen with a bloody hand, piercing his heart and tearing open his face. Chen Ge subsequently frees her from the mud statuette; she first appears as a mud-covered cat before changing into a thin woman in a red dress. The black phone classifies her as an unknown-type Red Specter, and she joins the House's employee community. (Chapters 1066–1067, 1114–1134)

Appearance and personality

Miss Red has wet hair and dresses entirely in red. After being released, she can appear either as a mud-covered cat or a thin, lanky woman in a red dress. She is quiet and unsettling, but her violence is directed at Ying Chen when the victims unite against him. (Chapters 1058, 1066–1067)

Skills and supernatural abilities

Miss Red is explicitly classified as an unknown-type Red Specter. She can shift between feline and human forms, manifest a powerful bloody hand, pierce a human body, and mutilate an enemy's face. No later rank increase is established. (Chapters 1066–1067)

Relationships

Ying Tong is the child at the center of Miss Red's earlier life, while Ying Chen is her murderer and target. Miss Dress and Mr. Wood share her fate and later employment; Chen Ge releases all three and brings them into the House. (Chapters 1058–1067)

Miss Red is trapped inside a Ghost Fetus mud statuette until Chen Ge releases her. Her red dress marks her manifested form but is not separately identified as a supernatural item. (Chapters 1066–1067)
