Ma Tian

Ma Tian is a large-built member of Sister Mao's review group who enters the House of Horrors' Coffin Village scenario.

Biography

Narrative role

Ma Tian joins Sister Mao, Huang Xing, and the rest of their group to evaluate Chen Ge's attraction. As people begin disappearing inside the village, he tries to keep the group together and urges them to locate Mr. Zhou and Duan Yue for an explanation. Growing certain that unseen eyes are following them, he hides inside a dresser and eventually realizes that the supposed visitors around them are ghosts employed by the Haunted House. (Chapters 347–354)

The discovery overwhelms him: Chen later finds Ma Tian unconscious and foaming at the mouth, but still alive. His experience is one of the scenario's clearest demonstrations of how staged roles, genuine ghosts, and the visitors' own suspicions combine to defeat an otherwise cautious participant. Appearance and personality

Ma Tian is described as a large man. He is cautious rather than reckless, preferring the middle of the group and attempting to reason through disappearances, but the accumulating supernatural evidence pushes his vigilance into panic. (Chapters 347–354)

Skills and supernatural abilities

He shows situational awareness and recognizes that the group's apparent companions do not behave like ordinary visitors. He has no supernatural ability. (Chapters 350–354)

Relationships

Sister Mao leads the review group Ma Tian accompanies, while Huang Xing is one of his fellow visitors. The apparent “Mr. Zhou” is Ol' Zhou in character, and Duan Yue is his ghost-actor partner. (Chapters 347–354)
