Ol' Zhou

Ol' Zhou is a House of Horrors ghost actor partnered with Duan Yue, first introduced under the visitor persona “Mr. Zhou.”

Biography

Narrative role

Ol' Zhou's earliest performance places him inside Sister Mao's review group as Mr. Zhou, a friendly real-estate agent supposedly dating Duan Yue. The pair lead real visitors through Coffin Village until their disguise collapses in a coordinated reveal of blood, wounds, and impossible bodies. Chen later summons them by their regular names, confirming that the apparent customer and Ol' Zhou are the same employee. (Chapters 347–355, 466)

As a regular House actor, Ol' Zhou works repeatedly beside Duan Yue and other employees, using conversation and ordinary social behavior to lower visitors' guard before a supernatural reversal. He participates in major scenarios and off-site operations, proving especially valuable when a situation requires ghosts who can pass convincingly as living people. In the false Xin Hai world, Ol' Zhou lives at Ping An Apartment without his full memory and instinctively protects the tenants while avoiding the hospital's control. He pretends not to see Chen at first, then helps Zhang Jingjiu and participates in the uprising that breaks the manufactured order. He ultimately recovers his identity and returns to Chen's side. Appearance and personality

Ol' Zhou usually adopts the appearance and easy manners of an ordinary adult man. He is an accomplished, adaptable performer with dark humor, strong loyalty to Duan Yue, and a protective instinct that persists even when his memories have been altered. (Chapters 347–355, 466–482, 1187–1209)

Skills and supernatural abilities

As a ghost, Ol' Zhou can convincingly imitate a living visitor, manifest blood and apparent wounds, and coordinate complex scares with other employees. His greatest demonstrated strength is acting and infiltration; no formal spectral rank or persistent rank increase is established. (Chapters 347–355, 466–482)

Relationships

Duan Yue is Ol' Zhou's partner in both staged romance and genuine companionship. Chen Ge employs and trusts him, while Men Nan and the other House ghosts become his wider supernatural community.
