Description

The Titan Chest Plate is a Level 80 Violet-Platinum heavy-armor component of the imitation Titan set. Its two defining effects are percentage healing during Shield Wall and Titan's Shield, a large fixed absorb barrier. Those mechanics keep it useful long after its ordinary armor statistics begin to fall behind Zhang Yang's level. (Chapters 282, 355–362, 458, and 608)

History and custody

Recovery from the Abyss of Blackwater

Kent sends Zhang Yang to recover the chest plate from the python Mopy before the creature absorbs more of its power. Zhang obtains it as a quest object and returns it to Kent, who handles it with reverence. After Zhang kills Kazalo and completes the chain, Kent removes the armor and gives it back to him permanently, stating that it now belongs to Zhang. (Chapters 350–355)

Zhang sockets the plate immediately, raising his total HP to 76,590, damage absorption to 1,774, and Defense to 2,240 in the resulting full build. Its healing special effect soon becomes the center of his tank survival: activating Shield Wall restores a percentage of maximum HP every second, and Titan Wall extends that recovery interval. The combination lets him endure three bosses at once and return from near death to full health within one defensive window. (Chapters 356, 362, and 422)

Long service and declining efficiency

Zhang removes other Titan pieces for Mythical upgrades but deliberately keeps the chest plate because its two special effects remain comparable to higher-tier gear. Percentage healing scales extraordinarily with God of War Transformation's multiplied HP and remains available in encounters that remove ordinary class heals. He reinforces the piece with Gargoyle Teeth and continues using it as an exception to his otherwise advancing equipment set. (Chapters 458, 503, 510, and 519)

Its healing is nevertheless level-scaled. The rate drops from 10% of maximum HP per second to 5%, then 2%, and finally 1% after Zhang passes successive level thresholds. Titan's Shield does not suffer the same stated reduction and can still absorb 300,000 damage, but by Level 130 the chest plate is due another major nerf. Zhang finally claims higher-level heavy armor and replaces it, ending its confirmed active use. (Chapters 502, 563–565, 584, 608, 611, and 618)

Abilities and mechanics

The healing property triggers only when Zhang activates Shield Wall. At its peak it restores 10% maximum HP each second; with Titan Wall extending Shield Wall to fifteen seconds, the theoretical recovery reaches 150% of maximum HP. Raising maximum HP first with Last Vigor or God of War Transformation increases the absolute healing because every tick is percentage-based. The effect remains powerful even after nerfs, but its per-second rate declines as the wearer outlevels the Level 80 item. (Chapters 355, 411, 517, 519, 565, and 611)

Titan's Shield is the plate's separate active absorb effect. It can absorb 300,000 damage and does not receive the same stated level reduction as the healing property. That fixed barrier is sufficient to cover several times Zhang's earlier health pool and remains relevant after the chest plate's percentage healing has fallen to 1% per tick. (Chapters 385 and 608)

The chest plate also strengthens Shield Bash in Zhang's Titan configuration, with its published properties explaining why the attack behaves like a persistent critical strike. Its ordinary armor, sockets, and set membership contribute to Defense, Vitality, and damage absorption, but those base statistics eventually lose to higher-level gear. The item is therefore an evolving tradeoff: exceptional cooldown interactions keep it equipped past its tier, while level-based degradation ultimately forces replacement.   • Zhang Yang: He recovers the plate, receives legal in-game ownership from Kent, and builds multiple survival rotations around its Shield Wall healing and Titan's Shield before replacing it. (Chapters 350–355, 422, 519, and 618)
  • Kent: The quest giver and temporary custodian who regards the armor as a relic, accepts its return, and then awards it to Zhang after the threat around it is resolved. (Chapters 351–355)
