Frost Essence
Description
The Frost Essence is a quest object required during Lost Dream's Class B Snowman Inheritance chain. It has no demonstrated equipment statistics or direct combat activation; its function is to clear a late acquisition requirement before the remaining errands and mini-bosses. (Chapter 586)
History and custody
Final inheritance steps
Lost Dream locates and picks up the Frost Essence while progressing through the Snowman Inheritance quest. The narration treats it as the major object he still needed, and its acquisition leaves him only minor errands and mini-boss fights away from the inheritance. No other player is shown owning or contesting it. (Chapter 586)
By the following chapter, Zhang can ask Lost Dream to activate Snowman Inheritance during a dungeon boss fight, showing that the chain has been completed. The text does not explicitly say that Frost Essence is destroyed or removed from inventory, so its quest role is complete while its physical post-quest status remains unstated. (Chapters 586–587)
Abilities and mechanics
Frost Essence satisfies one named condition in the Snowman Inheritance chain. Picking it up does not immediately grant the inheritance; Lost Dream must still run errands and defeat mini-bosses. The object has no published tier, trade rule, storage restriction, cooldown, stat bonus, or usable effect. (Chapter 586)
Any frost slow, attack increase, transformation, or Frostbite extension belongs to the completed Snowman Inheritance rather than to Frost Essence itself. The object's only sourced interaction is progression from the collection phase into the chain's final minor tasks. (Chapters 586–587)
Relationships
- Lost Dream: The sole demonstrated possessor, who picks up the essence and soon completes Snowman Inheritance. (Chapters 586–587)
- Zhang Yang: Lost Dream's guild leader, who recognizes the near-complete quest state and soon deploys the resulting inheritance in a raid. (Chapters 586–587)
