Yang Zhi Xian

Yang Zhi Xian is a former schoolmate of Zhang Yang and the daughter of Cang Lang Province leader Yang Bao Kun. Her social standing becomes decisive during a reunion dispute, where her shifting response helps bring down a corrupt official. (Chapters 195 and 200–205)

Yang Zhi Xian was one of her class's three celebrated beauties and its strongest student, but she arrives at the later gathering partly to display the prestige attached to her father. When police intervention follows a violent confrontation, classmates beg her to protect them. She initially testifies that Zhang Yang and Fatty Han alone fought, then waits for Zhang Yang to ask for her help and takes offense when he does not. After learning that his own connections exceed what she expected, she reverses course, advises her father to remove Qian Hong Wen as a political liability, and makes the call that triggers a provincial investigation. Her opportunistic intervention therefore helps expose the corrupt official even though self-interest, not a settled loyalty to Zhang Yang, shapes her choice. (Chapters 200–205)

Appearance and personality

Yang Zhi Xian is explicitly called the most beautiful girl in her school and is also described as exceptionally accomplished academically. She maintains a cool, nonchalant expression while privately enjoying others' surprise at her family status.
