Frosty Ghost Dragon
Frosty Ghost Dragon is the undead final guardian on one of the mist map's converging stone bridges. It bars access to the central treasure chest and forces parties to reserve inheritance transformations for a long battle against regeneration and wide-area damage. (Chapters 652–656)
Biography
Regional War and World Competition
The Frosty Ghost Dragon waits before an air wall separating its bridge from the shared final platform. Ancient resentment has turned the once-living Frost-aligned giant dragon into a Spectre, and the failures of earlier challengers are said to have joined the dead. Zhang Yang's party commits its limited transformations to overcome the boss's billion HP and constant recovery. The dragon derides every mortal race as insignificant, increases its attack frequency as death approaches, and finally acknowledges defeat before its gigantic skeleton collapses and shatters. Killing it opens the way to the contested central reward, while rival parties unable to repeat the feat within the time limit give up. (Chapters 652–656)
Appearance and personality
It is a gigantic skeletal dragon with blue-green spectral flames moving inside its eye sockets like lanterns. The dragon is intensely proud of its species and strength, contemptuous of mortals, and unable to accept that they are defeating it until its final words. Its rage near death manifests as more frequent skill use rather than a new power. (Chapters 653–654)
Abilities and gameplay
The boss has 1,000,000,000 HP, 9,950 Defense, and 75,409–95,409 Melee Attack. Frost Breath deals 80,000 Frost damage in a cone. Dragon Wing Strike deals 100,000 physical damage across its effective range and blows targets away. Spectre Build restores one percent HP every thirty seconds and cannot be altered, reducing an untransformed party's effective damage so severely that the fight would take many hours. Properly rationed inheritance transformations are the established counter. (Chapters 652–655)
Relationships
- Zhang Yang: His party plans around the dragon's regeneration, spends the required transformations, and secures the kill that opens the final platform. (Chapters 652–656)
- Phoenix Pet: Phoenix Pet contributes to the transformed party's damage against the Frost-aligned Spectre, though no unique one-to-one interaction is described. (Chapters 653–655)
Items
- Skill Point Crystal: The dragon drops this universally useful reward alongside three equipment pieces. The party rolls for it after the kill. (Chapter 654)
- Central treasure chest: The dragon guards access to the shared chest but does not own or carry it; its death removes the bridge's air wall. (Chapters 652–656)
