Banct

Banct, fully named Banct Roland, is Helena's lover and the prisoner at the center of the assault on Anjar Castle. Countess Amansari's control leaves him sealed inside a tomb, where he dies before Helena and Zhang Yang reach him and is later restored as a Spectre. (Chapters 590–598)

Biography

Inheritances and Territorial War

Banct falls in love with Helena despite already being engaged, and Countess Amansari responds by publicly claiming that illness has paralyzed him while confining him inside Anjar Castle. Helena and Zhang Yang launch a rescue and break into the tomb, but Banct has already died behind its wall. Helena's grief turns into a violent supernatural counterattack; by the end of the escape she tenderly supports a restored Banct, now classified as a Mythical Spectre, out of the defensive barrier. Appearance and personality

The corpus labels Banct a Normal humanoid before the rescue and a Mythical Spectre afterward, but provides no stable description of his face, build, or clothing.
