Baa'ljilr

Baa'ljilr, titled Baa'ljilr the Imposter, is an Ascended Demon who hides behind the profile of an old human quest giver. He manipulates Zhang Yang into gathering rare materials for a supposed sacred defense, uses them to prepare the Demon Army's dimensional gate, and later supports Kenzack with an attack-doubling sacrifice that makes him the priority target in the final boss battle. (Chapters 803–819 and 834–836)

Biography

Demonic Invasions and the Final Championship

Zhang Yang reaches Baa'ljilr after a chain of delivery errands in Hannua Town. The apparent old man sits fishing beside a dark lake with a Level 230 Normal Humanoid profile, then allows a wounded black dragon to ambush the visitor while watching with ferocious amusement. After Zhang Yang wins, Baa'ljilr calls the attack a test and flatters him as a potential world hero. He claims that a Sacred Enchantment can destroy Spectres and deter Demons, beginning with an order for two hundred Death Source Stones. (Chapters 803–804)

The requests expand into a long collection chain. Under the same promise, Baa'ljilr obtains materials that include the Death Source Stones, Poseidon's Pearl, a Spectre's Heart, and elemental pearls aligned with Wind, Ice, Fire, Light, and Shadow. He performs concern and urgency whenever needed, while Zhang Yang and his companions interpret the errands as the route to stopping Demon Descent. Once the last elemental materials arrive, Baa'ljilr rewards them, praises their work, and reveals that the collection served the opposite purpose. (Chapters 804–819)

His old skin tears away to expose a red, twin-horned, winged Demon with claws, a scorpion-like tail, and a body three meters tall. The new Level 250 Ascended profile identifies him as a master of disguise loyal to Demon Lord Kenzack. He announces that the dimensional gate will be ready in one month, blasts the party backward with his wings, and escapes; a server announcement then confirms that he used the gathered materials to construct the gate and initiates the attempt to stop him. (Chapter 819)

When players finally confront Kenzack, Baa'ljilr stands beside the Celestial Demon Lord as a dedicated support boss. His Demon Amplification doubles Kenzack's attack, turning already lethal area damage into an unsustainable threat, while summoned Demons let him recover the health sacrificed to maintain the buff. Lone Desert Smoke concentrates players and twenty Type IV War Chariots on him, uses healing reduction and converted Demon summons to constrain his recovery, and kills him after about five minutes. Kenzack's attack immediately falls, and the surviving party—near ten percent health—can continue the battle. (Chapters 834–836)

Appearance and personality

In disguise, Baa'ljilr appears as a relaxed old human man fishing from a rocking chair outside a lakeside wooden house. The disguise carries a Normal Humanoid profile with 303,150 HP and local rumors that he can transform into a dragon. His revealed form is a three-meter red Demon with two horns, claws, bat-like wings, and a scorpion tail; at the final battle he is smaller than Kenzack but larger than ordinary Demon Soldiers. (Chapters 803, 819, and 834)

Baa'ljilr is patient, theatrical, manipulative, cruel, and fanatically loyal to Kenzack. He lets a dragon serve as a lethal test, uses heroic flattery and invented moral urgency to turn enemies into suppliers, and savors the final reveal with open contempt. In battle, that loyalty becomes self-destructive service: he repeatedly spends his own health to empower Kenzack even when the programmed casting cycle hastens his death. (Chapters 803–804, 819, and 834–835)

Abilities and gameplay

Deception and dimensional gate

Baa'ljilr is explicitly profiled as a master of disguise and deception. His human form hides both species and tier, presenting a Level 230 Normal NPC where a Level 250 Ascended Demon is actually operating. The rumors surrounding him are inaccurate about the exact transformation but help keep local goblins from approaching, preserving his isolation and cover. (Chapters 803 and 819)

His false Sacred Enchantment is a social mechanism rather than a demonstrated holy skill. By dividing the supposed construction into ordinary quest steps, he gets players to acquire rare death, oceanic, spectral, and elemental materials. The completed collection supports a Dimension Gate for the Demon Army, but the corpus does not show him opening it instantly or fighting through it personally; the server gives a thirty-day completion window. (Chapters 804–819)

The revealed Demon can hover and fly on bat-like wings. A forceful flap blows most of Zhang Yang's group off their feet, though high-Strength players remain standing, showing that the gust is strong positional force rather than an irresistible defeat effect. (Chapter 819)

Support-boss mechanics

At Level 250, Baa'ljilr has 12,500,000,000 HP, 38,545 Defense, and 386,830–466,830 Melee Attack. The encounter describes him as having few offensive skills beyond basic attacks; his danger comes from supporting Kenzack. Demon Amplification consumes five percent of Baa'ljilr's health and grants Kenzack one hundred percent additional attack. The displayed profile gives a twenty-second cooldown, while the party's field report says thirty seconds, so the exact cooldown is inconsistent in the source. (Chapter 834)

Demonic Bond swallows a Demon and restores ten percent health, with the party reporting a five-second cooldown. Unlike Kenzack's version, Baa'ljilr's healing can be reduced: Zhang Yang's Destructive Smash cuts each recovery to 2.5 percent. Kenzack summons one thousand Demons at a time, so rapid elimination of those adds is necessary to stop repeated healing. (Chapters 834–835)

The support loop contains its own limit. Twenty unhealed Demon Amplifications would consume his full health, and his boss AI casts the skill whenever its cooldown completes. Lone Desert Smoke exploits that predictability by focusing Baa'ljilr, denying most Bond targets, and converting slain Demons through Gates of Hell; excess summoned Harbingers attack Baa'ljilr when they cannot reach Kenzack. His death removes the attack buff and changes the encounter from nearly unwinnable to sustainable. (Chapters 834–836)

Relationships

  • Kenzack: Baa'ljilr is profiled as loyal only to the Demon Lord and serves as his battlefield amplifier. He spends his own health to double Kenzack's attack and shares the summoned Demons as healing fuel, making their partnership the central encounter problem. (Chapters 819 and 834–836)
  • Zhang Yang: Baa'ljilr tests and flatters Zhang Yang into gathering the dimensional-gate materials, then reveals the betrayal. Zhang Yang later designs the focus strategy, applies healing reduction, and lands the finishing sequence that kills him. (Chapters 803–819 and 834–835)
  • Mountain Mover: Mountain Mover commands the twenty Type IV War Chariots concentrated on Baa'ljilr. Their burst window helps force the support boss down before Kenzack's amplified damage wipes the attackers. (Chapter 835)
  • Han Ying Xue: Baa'ljilr's repeated amplification leaves the party near ten percent health by the time he dies. Han Ying Xue uses Milkmaid Deity's Ripple to restore the group, preventing his final support cycle from becoming a delayed wipe. (Chapters 835–836)

Items

  • Death Source Stones: Baa'ljilr's first stated requirement is a set of two hundred stones from the Death Shadow Mine. Zhang Yang gathers them believing they are components of a defensive enchantment, but they become part of the gate scheme. (Chapter 804)
  • Poseidon's Pearl and Spectre's Heart: These rare quest materials are delivered during the extended construction chain. Their stated sacred purpose is fraudulent, and they are ultimately included among the materials Baa'ljilr collects for the dimensional gate. (Chapters 805–813 and 819)
  • Elemental pearls: Wind, Ice, Fire, Light, and Shadow pearls complete the collection. Baa'ljilr explicitly celebrates having all five before revealing his Demon identity and announcing the gate. (Chapters 814–819)
