Clope Seca
Clope Seca is Faern's Guardian Knight, an ambitious swordmaster whose obsession with legend lets Cale turn an enemy commander into a coerced informant.
Biography
Ancient powers and imperial schemes
Clope Seca is the secret current holder of Faern's Guardian Knight title, publicly attributed to his father, Duke Rok Seca. He commands knights and mages from the royal castle while preparing Faern and the other northern kingdoms for conquest. His ambition is not merely victory: he believes himself chosen to revive the legend of the Sky Conqueror and write his name into continental history (Chapter 38).
Cale Henituse, disguised as a white-haired priest, exploits that obsession. A false prophecy, the burning Lake of God's Tears, and references to House Seca's hidden history convince Clope that a god is announcing the birth of his legend. He conceals the evidence and even orders the death of a subordinate who has read too much, revealing the ruthlessness behind his holy public image (Chapters 38–39).
Northern war and Death Canyon
Clope leads Faern's wyvern brigade and Bear Tribe allies in the attack on Henituse territory. Riding a giant white wyvern, he directs the aerial assault, uses a flute to signal his mounts, and tries to cast the battle as a righteous campaign against Mary and her undead. His white swordmaster aura destroys scores of skeletons, but Cale's layered defenses and hidden allies overturn his plan (Chapter 43).
Choi Han defeats him, and Ron and Vicross capture him after his arms and legs are catastrophically injured. In the dungeon, Cale reveals that he was the false priest and uses overwhelming pressure to force Clope to divulge the Indomitable Alliance's secrets. His dream of being the central legend collapses, only to re-form around the belief that Cale is the true figure destined to change the continent (Chapter 44).
As a coerced informant, Clope supplies intelligence about Arm's high-ranking members and the northern alliance. He later offers Faern's invasion routes, teleportation circle, and plan for reaching the palaces of Askosan and Norland. His warnings allow Rowoon and Brek to prepare secretly for the final battle at Death Canyon (Chapters 45, 50).
Aftermath and the Mogor crisis
Mary's artificial limbs let Clope stand with a cane, though his injuries leave him unable to fight normally. Cale nevertheless uses the immense authority of his title. Reappearing beside Cale at Death Canyon, Clope declares that his loyalty belongs to the north rather than the Indomitable Alliance and names Arm, the Bear Tribe, and the Flame Dwarves as enemies of his home (Chapter 55).
His speech fractures enemy morale and gives Faern's betrayal a patriotic meaning. Clope sees the moment as another chance to become a legend, but Cale makes the terms explicit: the Guardian Knight's continued life remains under his control.
Appearance and personality
Clope has snowy white hair, a haughty bearing, and an image built around immaculate whiteness. He appears in magnificent armor and a white cape when acting as the north's Guardian Knight. After losing the use of his limbs, he stands with artificial supports and a cane (Chapters 43–44, 55).
He is proud, calculating, theatrical, and obsessively concerned with legends. Clope can remain cool in command and prepare sophisticated betrayals, yet religious symbolism and the prospect of historical glory drive him into fanaticism. His rapid shift from aspiring hero to Cale's fervent follower is self-serving, but his attachment to Faern and northern identity is genuine.
Abilities and powers
White swordmaster aura
Clope channels white aura through his sword and projects it across the battlefield in broad destructive strikes. From a wyvern he combines height, momentum, and aura reach, allowing him to destroy large skeletal formations and engage elite airborne opponents. (Chapters 43–44)
Choi Han demonstrates the ceiling by defeating him and catastrophically damaging all four limbs. Mary's replacements let Clope stand, not recover his former swordmaster execution; after capture, his aura skill is largely inaccessible because the body that delivered it no longer functions normally.
Wyvern brigade command
Clope directs mounts and riders with flute signals, aura-amplified orders, formation planning, and a giant white wyvern as his command platform. Signals let a dispersed aerial brigade change targets without every rider hearing a spoken plan. (Chapter 43)
The system depends on trained wyverns, intact riders, and communications. Cale's hidden skeletons and allied specialists attack those assumptions, turning a well-designed aerial assault into isolated fights the brigade did not prepare to face.
Strategy, intelligence, and propaganda
Clope understands northern invasion routes, teleportation infrastructure, palace access, and alliance hierarchy. After capture, those same plans become intelligence for Rowoon because Cale can threaten his life and exploit his revised belief that Cale is the true legend. (Chapters 45, 50)
His speeches reshape morale by giving Faern's betrayal a patriotic narrative: the north is being defended from Arm and foreign tribes rather than abandoning its own cause. This remains coercively constrained influence. Clope's legend obsession makes him imaginative and persuasive, but also exceptionally vulnerable to staged prophecy and symbols. (Chapters 38–39, 55)
Power progression
| Stage / Realm / Ability | Chapter(s) | Notes |

| White-aura swordmaster | 43 | Commands Faern's wyvern brigade while projecting broad white sword aura capable of destroying large skeletal formations. |
| Four limbs catastrophically disabled | 44 | Choi Han's defeat ends his normal swordmaster execution and leaves the body that delivered his aura unable to fight. |
| Necromantic replacement limbs | By 55 | Mary's artificial limbs let him stand and walk with a cane but do not restore his former swordmaster combat capacity. |

Items
Clope has no brief-designated signature item in the covered chapters. He uses a sword, signal flute, cane, armor, and artificial limbs at different stages, but these serve his military role or damaged body rather than constituting a single named artifact of ownership.
