Archie
Archie is a killer-whale beastman, Whale King Seakeller's guard, and the strongest whale warrior of his generation. Notorious for his aggression and provocative tongue, he becomes one of the Whale Tribe's most reliable fighters in its alliance with Cale Henituse.
Biography
Plaza terror and the southern expedition
Archie first meets Cale while accompanying Seakeller and Witira. He openly threatens the young noble despite repeated warnings from his king, but Cale's Dominating Aura forces him to retreat and make a grudging apology. The encounter establishes both his combative nature and his willingness to obey the royal humpback whales even when doing so wounds his pride. (Chapter 14)
The retreat is not proof that Cale physically defeats him. Dominating Aura attacks Archie's instinct and perception, while Seakeller's authority determines his conduct afterward. Pride remains intact, but he learns that the apparently weak noble travels with pressures and alliances he cannot dismiss by appearance.
Hais Islands and the Magic Tower
Archie returns as part of the Whale Tribe's operation against the mermaids and Arm. He reluctantly lets Cale ride on his back, guides and shields the party amid the destruction of Hais Island Five, and carries them toward the continuing battle. Though initially contemptuous, he becomes increasingly impressed by the strength gathered around Cale and begins addressing him with genuine caution. (Chapter 20)
Transport makes his whale body a coalition asset rather than only a weapon. A twelve-metre killer whale can tow, carry multiple riders, and absorb danger around smaller allies while maneuvering through the sea.
Ancient powers and imperial schemes
Archie stands behind Witira at the continental conference, then joins the campaign against Arm's First Battle Brigade. He refuses to carry Hana, whose earlier attacks killed whales, but still obeys the larger operation. On the Eastern Continent expedition, his blunt familiarity with the nearby elves helps the party reach the World Tree; later, disguised as an Arm operative, he demolishes the Seca family's wyvern monuments, taunts their defenders, and breaks the estate wall with Faseton and Rosalyn. (Chapters 31, 33, 37–39)
His refusal over Hana sets a moral boundary without sabotaging command. Alliance does not erase the whales she killed. At Seca, Archie's provocation then becomes tactical: attention fixes on the loud attacker while combined whale strength and magic breach symbolic and physical defenses.
Northern war and Death Canyon
During the northern campaign, Archie fights on the ground with overwhelming physical force. At Death Canyon he and Witira enter berserk form to confront the half-blood dragon. Archie smashes through magical shields, endures lightning-charged attacks, and willingly bows so that Witira can use his back as a foothold—an extraordinary gesture of respect from a killer whale. He later helps open a path for Choi Han, assists the evacuation, and joins Cale's small force in raids on the northern palaces. (Chapters 45, 51–52)
Repeated impacts show both strength and limit. A high-level shield does not vanish at one touch; Archie breaks it by continuing to strike while allies exploit openings. When dragon-scale danger makes the field untenable, the objective changes from breach to evacuation and he uses the same body to preserve troops.
Aftermath and the Mogor crisis
Archie returns from the palace operations shaken by the intensity of Cale's other allies and visibly moved when he learns about Cale's condition. He subsequently helps guard the captured half-blood dragon beneath the Henituse capital residence, placing himself between the captive and the more curious Faseton. (Chapters 54–56)
Appearance and personality
Archie is a striking white-haired man in human form and an exceptionally large killer whale—about twelve meters long—in his full beast form. His visible canines and vicious expressions suit his reputation. He is rude, proud, quick to violence, and exceptionally gifted at provoking opponents, yet he has a moral line, fierce loyalty to Seakeller and Witira, and real concern for companions beneath his abrasive manner. (Chapters 14, 20, 37, 51)
Abilities and powers
Killer-whale physique and transformation
Archie changes between a white-haired human and a roughly twelve-metre killer whale. Full whale form supplies ocean speed, towing power, carrying area, and mass for impact; human form gives hands, compact movement, and direct access to land fortifications. (Chapters 20, 39, 51)
His raw strength destroys monuments, fractures ground, and damages walls without a named weapon. It remains physical force rather than universal negation: high-level barriers require repeated impacts, and dragon-scale attacks can injure or overwhelm him.
Berserk water armor
In berserk form, Archie's body is amplified and water gathers around translucent hands and feet. The water functions as armor and as temporary footholds, letting him drive through fire or participate in an aerial engagement despite being a sea-oriented beastman. (Chapter 51)
The transformation is a high-intensity combat state, not his ordinary travel form. Its best uses are coordinated: water footholds place his strength where Witira or Choi Han can exploit it, while allied magic handles movement the form cannot sustain alone.
Siege force and battlefield coordination
Archie applies force through repeated head strikes, punches, and deliberate use of his body as a platform. He can break a magical shield by battering one point, open terrain for other beastfolk, or bow so Witira launches from his back. (Chapters 39, 51–52)
The willingness to become a foothold is technical trust, not humiliation. Beneath provocation and recklessness, he follows royal timing and changes objectives when ordered. Breach, distraction, pathfinding, and evacuation are different uses of the same physique.
Power progression

| Killer-whale warrior | 20 | Begins with a twelve-metre whale form, immense physical strength, sea mobility, and ordinary human-form operation. |
| Berserk water armor | 51 | Gains a temporary amplified state with translucent water armor and footholds, enabling fire resistance and coordinated aerial engagement. |
Relationships
- Witira: Archie recognizes Witira's royal humpback bloodline and follows her as his future queen. His absolute trust is clearest when he bows and becomes her stepping stone in battle. (Chapter 51)
- Faseton: Faseton is Archie's frequent partner in escort, combat, and guard duty. Archie acts as the more senior commander and sometimes tries to shield him from threats. (Chapters 20, 37, 51, 55–56)
- Cale Henituse: Their relationship begins with mutual hostility, but Archie comes to obey Cale's operations and recognize the strength and loyalty of his coalition. (Chapters 14, 20, 39, 52–55)
- Hana: Archie resents Hana for the whales she killed while serving Arm. He refuses to carry her, though his anger is complicated by awareness of her betrayal and suffering. (Chapter 33)
- Choi Han: The two initially glare at each other, then become brutally effective comrades, with Archie serving as a foothold and pathfinder for Choi Han's attacks. (Chapters 14, 51–52)
Items
Archie has no cataloged signature item; he fights through his killer-whale body, berserk transformation, and overwhelming physical force rather than a unique generated object.
