Yu Feng

Yu Feng is a Xia Clan Transcendent whose incomplete Profound Mystery of Space let him hide in shadow space and threaten stronger trainees with sudden saber strikes. Although his raw combat ranking remained low, he became one of Dong Bo Xue Ying's genuine friends during their decade of training. (Chapters 131–139)

Biography

Scarlet Cloud Mountain training

Yu Feng entered the trainee group ranked eighth after completing his fundamental mission. His low direct combat power made him a target of Situ Hong's contempt, but his spatial concealment still made sparring against him dangerous. Over ten years he, Pu Yang Bo, and Zhang Peng maintained sincere friendship with Xue Ying even after Xue Ying destroyed his own expected path and fell to the bottom of the rankings. Yu Feng rejected Situ Hong's equation of combat power with personal worth, continued eating and drinking with Xue Ying, and later took instruction from Chi Qiu Bai, whose request to carry an attack forward prompted Yu Feng to reconsider how he applied his technique. The available evidence ends during that instruction and does not establish a later breakthrough. (Chapters 131–148)

Appearance and personality

Yu Feng is introduced as the most dashing young man in his group. He is sociable and teasing, but his loyalty is not rank-dependent: he stayed close to Xue Ying during the latter's decline and plainly argued that strength does not determine character. (Chapters 131, 137, 139, and 145)

Abilities and cultivation

Yu Feng had reached the second level of the Profound Mystery of Space. He could enter shadow space, conceal himself there, and stab out with a saber in sudden, dangerous attacks, making stronger companions reluctant to face him despite his modest overall ranking. His primary limitation was duration: weak combat power meant he could remain hidden only briefly. His latest training under Chi Qiu Bai was aimed at improving the application of his attack, while the suggested third level remained an aspiration rather than an achieved state. (Chapters 131, 134, 139, and 148)
