Wen Yong An is one of the young Xia Clan Transcendents cultivating in Scarlet Cloud Mountain World alongside Dong Bo Xue Ying. His limited appearances principally show how quickly the training world's social judgment changes when a disciple's prospects decline.

Wen Yong An welcomes Xue Ying with a soft voice and a warm smile when the new disciple arrives. He later observes Xue Ying's improved spear technique beside Zhuo Yi and agrees that the improvement is real. After Si Kong Yang judges Xue Ying's chosen path to be reckless, however, Wen Yong An keeps his distance while several of Xue Ying's closer companions remain genuine. Appearance and personality
The text identifies Wen Yong An by his thin, youthful, unusually soft voice and a smile described as able to penetrate the heart.
