The Silver Moon Wolf King is a rank-four magic beast hunted by Xue Ying because its fresh heart is the price Great Mage Bai Yuan Zhi sets for accepting Qing Shi as a personal disciple. The hunt also becomes early proof of Xue Ying's Silver Moon Knight strength. (Chapters 15–27 and 58)
Biography
The heart required for Qing Shi
Bai Yuan Zhi demands either fifty thousand gold coins or a Silver Moon Wolf King's heart fresh within three days. The beast is dangerous not only for its own rank but because it leads a large pack whose group attacks are more threatening than the king alone. Xue Ying cuts through the wolves, kills their leader, preserves the heart in a storage pendant, and delivers it after one day. Bai Yuan Zhi's successful research and Qing Shi's discipleship make the kill consequential beyond its monetary value. (Chapters 15–30 and 52)
The slain animal's pure snow-white fur, skull, and other parts are harvested or sold. The evidence concerns one hunted king but uses a species title, so it does not establish the fate of every Silver Moon Wolf King. (Chapters 21, 26, 33, and 58)
Appearance and personality
The king has pure snow-white fur with deeper, more vibrant color than an ordinary Silver Wolf. Its fur is prized by nobles for a domineering display. No individual personality or behavior beyond pack leadership and combat is preserved. (Chapter 21)
Abilities and cultivation
As a rank-four magic beast, the king is individually within reach of Xue Ying with assistance, but its primary tactical advantage is command of a large wolf pack. The source shows Xue Ying forcing a path through that pack and piercing the king with his spear, without preserving a named beast technique or defensive mechanism. (Chapters 16 and 21)
Its fresh heart remains viable for only three days under ordinary preservation, creating a strict acquisition deadline. Its latest evidenced state is dead and processed for materials. (Chapters 15, 21, and 26)
