Old Mother Ying Shan is the ancestor and senior decision-maker of the Ying Shan Clan. She recognizes Xue Ying's unusual talent early, supports his growing position, and later uses her authority to concentrate the clan inside the city he can protect.

Stewardship of the Ying Shan Clan
Old Mother Ying Shan lives in seclusion above the ancestral estate while monitoring threats and talented descendants. She regrets that Xue Ying's forced early birth may have weakened his bloodline, yet treats his surviving potential seriously and investigates the assassination network around him. As he rises, her satisfaction replaces that initial regret: she regards royal gifts and high-level attention as natural recognition for the most dazzling cultivator in Southern Cloud history. Later, despite receiving scriptures and resources from Xue Ying, she remains unable to cross the final barrier from Primal Chaos to Cosmos God through anyone else's effort. When he warns of a coming enemy, she agrees to summon the Ying Shan Clan into Flying Snow City, while still asking that unwilling members not be forced and that other cities remain governed. She prepares for death when the Undying Underworld Emperor attacks, then witnesses Xue Ying block the blow and preserve the clan. Old Mother Ying Shan is repeatedly shown seated cross-legged on a high mountain, once compared to a dried rock. The source gives no detailed face or clothing.
