Gong Yu

Gong Yu is a yellow-robed Xia Demigod who oversees the Scarlet Cloud Mountain World's young Transcendents. He manages their housing and cultivation resources, answers routine questions, and helps evaluate Xue Ying's exceptional True Meaning. (Chapters 129–164 and 197)

Biography

Mentor of Scarlet Cloud Mountain

Gong Yu welcomes Xue Ying as a Substitute Elder, assigns bamboo houses by rank, supplies an introductory cultivation guide, and becomes the mentor normally available when Si Kong Yang is absent. He later helps assess Xue Ying's Mountain Road performance and argues that there is an over-eighty-percent chance the displayed embryonic True Meaning is grade two. During the demon invasion, he gathers the Substitute Elders, explains the return-home order, and lets each decide when to break through while ensuring the year's resources are distributed first. (Chapters 129–164) The last comparison places Gong Yu among Demigods whom a complete grade-two True Meaning would exceed. The source does not preserve his later war service or fate. (Chapter 197)

Appearance and personality

Gong Yu is a yellow-robed old man. He is approachable, organized, patient with cultivation questions, and willing to make probabilistic judgments rather than claim certainty. His resource advice shows concern for students without denying the demands of war. (Chapters 129–132 and 156–164)

Abilities and cultivation

Gong Yu is a Demigod and can send a Qi avatar into battles while his main presence remains at Scarlet Cloud Mountain. His demonstrated expertise is instructional and analytical: he recognizes profound pressure, evaluates True Meaning grades, and understands institutional cultivation rules. No named personal True Meaning, weapon, attack, or defensive technique is preserved. (Chapters 156–164 and 197)
