Prime Amulet
The Prime Amulet, nicknamed Little Amulet, is the seventh and commanding member of the Celestial Amulets of Legacy. It is the key to the Temple of Confucius's Prime Hall and can authorize access associated with the six subordinate keys. Its artifact spirit speaks independently, but the corpus treats it as a sentient item rather than a separately cataloged human character. (Chapters 1,583, 1,669, 1,723)
History
Recovery before the Temple opens
Luo Ruoxin reveals that rival accounts omit the Prime Amulet and leads Zhang Xuan toward its hidden location. The culprits pursuing the same clue hope to command the subordinate pieces by taking it. Zhang secures the amulet and carries its talkative spirit into the Temple, where it proves less useful as a guide than he expects but confirms seals and artifacts from Kong shi's era. (Chapters 1,582–1,600, 1,723–1,733)
Temple authorization
Little Amulet helps Zhang identify the crux of seals and authorizes him to enter Subordinate Halls without their matching keys. It explains the load limit that blocks overcrowded folded spaces and opens later temple barriers when pressed against them. Its authority does not defeat every restriction: Ancient Sages remain barred, and the Prime Hall's seal can still reject Zhang when conditions beyond mere ownership are unmet. (Chapters 1,730–1,770)
Abilities and properties
The Prime Amulet commands or suppresses subordinate amulets, serves as the nominal key to the Prime Hall, and grants its recognized holder access across the subordinate system. Its spirit retains knowledge of ancient artifacts such as the Canvas of Four Seasons and can analyze some seals. It cannot override the temple's Ancient Sage exclusion, capacity limits, or all qualification tests, and its uncertain guidance repeatedly frustrates Zhang. (Chapters 1,583, 1,723–1,770)
