History

Academy guardian and Zhang Xuan's artifact

The Master Teacher Pavilion headquarters bestows the cauldron on Hongyuan Academy as an emergency guardian capable of fighting Saint experts. It refuses every principal's attempts to tame it until Zhang Xuan identifies and corrects some of its flaws and promises to raise its tier. The cauldron acknowledges him, adopts the name Ding Ding, and leaves academy custody as his contracted artifact. (Chapters 840, 847)

Sacrifice, restoration, and transfer

During the ancient-domain expedition, the cauldron expands around Zhang's companions and absorbs a destructive lightning assault, protecting them but driving its spirit into a coma. Zhang rejects replacing that spirit and spends heavily to have it awakened through spirit enchantment. Restored, it resumes fighting and guarding the group. Before ascending to the Azure, Zhang cannot take lower-world artifacts across the barrier, so he bestows the cauldron on Wang Ying as protection while she performs time-consuming spirit enchantment. Abilities and properties

The cauldron is initially a Saint intermediate-tier artifact able to slay Saint 2-dan or Saint 3-dan opponents. It can enlarge to roughly thirty meters, shelter living passengers, emit extreme heat, refine materials, and attack through its massive body. Its independent artifact spirit allows autonomous action but also introduces impulsive judgment. After nourishment from the Azure's heavy spiritual energy, it approaches Dimension Shatterer realm without fully reaching it. (Chapters 840, 847, 1,044–1,046, 1,913)
