Ding Ding

Ding Ding is the chosen name of the sentient Golden Origin Cauldron, not an ordinary item entry. It serves Zhang Xuan as a mobile furnace, shelter, and heavily armored combatant with a boisterous personality of its own. (Chapters 867, 1,031–1,034)

Biography

The cauldron as companion and combatant

Zhang Xuan first calls Ding Ding out to teach an opponent a lesson, establishing a pattern in which the cauldron attacks enthusiastically until ordered to stop. It later shelters the expedition party inside its body during formation deployment, protects allies from enemies below Saint 5-dan, and conceals itself after assaulting Master Teacher Pavilion officials so their accusation against Zhang lacks visible evidence. These actions make it a recurring participant rather than passive equipment. (Chapters 867, 1,031–1,034, 1,151)

Appearance and personality

Ding Ding is a large weapon cauldron animated by an artifact spirit. It is boastful, eager to burn or crush opponents, sometimes unreliable in judgment, and quick to vanish when its actions could implicate Zhang. (Chapters 867, 1,031, 1,151)

Abilities and cultivation

Its Saint-artifact body produces intense heat, withstands heavy punishment, carries people within its interior, and fights opponents below Saint 5-dan with formidable physical force. Zhang can recall it and halt its attacks through their established command relationship. (Chapters 1,031–1,034, 1,151)

Relationships

  • Zhang Xuan: Ding Ding obeys Zhang as master, providing combat power, transport, and improvised concealment despite its unruly temperament. (Chapters 867, 1,031–1,034, 1,151)
  • Luo Ruoxin: Luo Ruoxin travels with parties that use Ding Ding as protection and transport. (Chapters 1,031–1,034)
