Petra

Petra is a Dark Dream Extractor whose Money Sink ability makes her part of the company's ranged support group. Her first expedition beyond the city nearly ends in possession, prompting Nick to risk the Nightmare's territory to recover her. (Chapters 350–371 and 458)

Biography

Abduction and return to the team

Petra joins Nick, Jenny, Clayton, and Jason on an expedition outside Crimson City, her first major assignment beyond familiar containment work. A possession Specter pulls her into a dark mountain and leaves her unconscious, forcing Nick to choose between abandoning a teammate and entering territory influenced by the Nightmare. He organizes the rescue and brings her back alive; Petra later wakes without understanding the full danger he accepted. The recovery preserves the expedition group and demonstrates that Dark Dream's leadership will risk exceptional danger for an employee rather than treating a missing Extractor as expendable. Petra continues advancing and is later one of three Peak Johns whose combined draining power can empty a Mid Veteran's reserves within seconds. The corpus does not narrate her later career or death; Nick eventually remembers her among deceased former associates, leaving Peak John service at Dark Dream as her last established status. Appearance and personality

Petra is a tall woman with red-and-black hair and a rebellious appearance. She behaves easily around the expedition team and returns to their company after a terrifying abduction, but the corpus provides little direct reflection on how the experience changed her. Her continued work supports resilience; it does not establish that she was unaffected. (Chapters 350–371)

Abilities and Zephyx

Petra has a Money Sink ability evolved through work with the Bleeding Lady. She can drain Zephyx from a distant target and, unlike Jason's version, also injures the victim while doing so. At Peak John rank, Petra, Jason, and Clayton can combine their drains to empty a Mid Veteran in seconds.
