Biography

Study group and field dissent

Mendor joins Nick, Cynthia, and Steve as an Early Expert nearing the second stage of Aegis training. Coming from an elite family and a leading Manufacturer, he contributes strong psychology, history, and third-level economics knowledge while challenging Nick's answers rather than accepting them on reputation. In the squad's first field operation, Mendor serves as the rear sniper and spends roughly half his Zephyx on each attack used to draw out a stronger target. When Steve orders him to kill a surrendered Specter despite Nick's argument for containment, Mendor refuses to fire and instead offers to defend Steve while Steve carries out his own order. That choice fractures command discipline but preserves Mendor's responsibility for his own judgment. The corpus does not show his later advancement or individual death; Nick's later remembrance establishes only that Mendor belongs to the deceased generation of his former associates. Appearance and personality

Mendor is a red-haired man with a casual, playful manner. He leans back, smiles, boasts about strong academic scores, and uses humor to loosen tense exchanges, yet he can become serious when a decision may waste a valuable captive or place the team at needless risk. Abilities and Zephyx

Mendor is an Expert sniper whose battle strength and speed are described as comparatively average within his elite cohort. His long-range shots are deadly, but a major attack can consume about half his Zephyx, sharply limiting sustained fire.
