Gluttony

Gluttony is one of Famine's principal servants and a member of the Seven Corruptors. It controls followers and cities by encouraging consumption, making it a territorial enemy whose feeding system is embedded in ordinary human institutions. (Chapters 619, 625, and 800–804)

Biography

A hidden territorial power

Gluttony's influence first appears through a Priesthood that publicly denounces its servants while a larger network operates around the western Grand Continent. As Nick studies the Corruptors, he distinguishes Gluttony from Greed: Greed seeks the security of possession, whereas Gluttony needs resources to be consumed. Nick enters Gourmet City under a false identity and pressures its representatives for access, using the organization's hunger for privilege and survival to approach the Fallen without exposing himself as an Aegis agent. The prepared execution

Rather than challenge a Peak Fallen alone, Nick turns his contact with Gluttony's network into targeting information for Aegis. The resulting battle is built around the Specter's nature: multiple Protectors use abilities that suppress Force Specters, prevent escape, and hold Gluttony in place while concentrated attacks tear through its body and Core. Gluttony's destruction collapses one of Famine's two great servant networks and contributes to the pressure that soon brings Death, Famine, and Pestilence into direct conflict with Aegis. Appearance and personality

Gluttony's body is identified as a powerful Force Specter during the prepared attack, but the corpus does not provide a stable humanlike portrait comparable to its social representatives.
