Biography

Suppression and Forced Ecological Destruction

The Eternal Hunger’s unchecked feeding brings its black slimes into conflict with the False Hope’s lethal forests. Their pressure on one another reveals both Specters sufficiently for Aegis to suppress them, but the operation costs two Shields and establishes how expensive containment is even after the Eternal Hunger reaches only Early Adversary. Much later, the Sun orders Nick to release both Specters and use them to eradicate life beyond protected cities. Nick finds no meaningful intelligence with which to negotiate and forces compliance; the Eternal Hunger carries out the imposed schedule and is active again by the last report, its destructive function redirected rather than reformed.
