Xue'er
Xue'er is Immortal Ancient's leading successor, sent to evaluate the generation's Echelon cultivators and bestow the Echelon Heart.
Biography
Evaluating the Echelon
Xue'er travels through the Mountain and Sea Realm under her master's instructions to meet every Echelon cultivator and determine whom she is meant to help. A game of Go is both her method and fixation: other candidates cooperate, while Meng Hao repeatedly refuses or evades her. She follows him into the Windswept Realm because the unresolved evaluation matters more than his irritation. (Chapters 1058, 1085 and 1090)
The game she must abandon
During the crisis, Xue'er offers a valuable pill and help escaping the Third Nation's black-robed pursuers merely to secure a game. Meng Hao argues that fixation on the board has made it her entire world and blocked her Dao. Though he is partly bluffing because he cannot play, the explanation gives her genuine enlightenment. (Chapters 1131–1133)
Xue'er accepts that victory and defeat are not the real test. She shatters her own board, abandons the obsession, and bestows the Echelon Heart on Meng Hao. The choice amplifies his divine sense and marks him as her selected beneficiary, though it does not automatically bind her as his follower. (Chapters 1133–1134)
Sea Dream extracts the other trial participants but leaves Xue'er with the rebel Windswept Realm as it moves toward the 33 Heavens. Whether this is punishment, design, or continuation of her own obligations is not fully resolved in the supplied text. (Chapter 1134)
Appearance and personality
Xue'er is a young woman whose poise can become haughty when candidates resist her ritual. She is persistent to the point of obsession, but also intellectually honest: when shown the limitation in her thinking, she destroys the object defining her mission and changes course.
Abilities and cultivation
Immortal Ancient inheritance
Her status grants broad travel experience, concealed movement, valuable medicines, and knowledge of the Echelon unavailable to ordinary cultivators. The source does not provide a complete combat realm or named offensive suite.
Go-board evaluation
The board creates or represents an immersive game-world used to evaluate candidates. Its danger is psychological and Dao-related: someone devoted to the game can lose self within its boundaries. Xue'er can destroy it voluntarily once she abandons the fixation.
Echelon Heart
She carries and bestows a heart-like inheritance that resonates with every Echelon cultivator and greatly expands the recipient's divine sense. It strengthens an Echelon foundation but does not supply instant understanding of every function.
