Tu Luo

Tu Luo, the Corpse Demon, is the Blood Demon Sect's third Demon and senior escort to Li Shiqi at the Violet Furnace Lord ceremony. One passage renders his name Xu Luo; continuous role and description establish the same person.

Biography

Blood Demon representative

Tu Luo arrives at Eastern Emergence Mountain with Li Shiqi as the Blood Demon Sect's only senior attendee. His sparse delegation contrasts with larger sect parties, but his late Nascent Soul pressure and Southern Domain reputation make the representation sufficient. He silently greets Grandmaster Pill Demon and observes the trials without interfering. (Chapters 278–286)

Pill Demon's display prompts genuine reverence from Tu Luo rather than factional posturing. He recognizes that the ceremony is governed by an expert beyond ordinary sub-Patriarch calculations and keeps Li Shiqi from treating it casually. (Chapters 285–286)

Interpreting the final illusion

During the last trial, Li Shiqi asks whether a participant could retain awareness inside the illusion. Tu Luo explains that this would require extraordinary Spiritual Sense and comprehension of the Dao; even then, the person might become permanently lost in the illusory world. His answer frames Meng Hao's later success as dangerous mastery rather than a simple trick. He witnesses Fang Mu revealed as Grandmaster Pill Cauldron. (Chapters 291–292)

Appearance and personality

Tu Luo is a withered old man in a red Daoist robe, with silver hair, shriveled skin, completely white pupil-less eyes, and dense death aura. Despite the frightening appearance, he is quiet, disciplined, and measured when advising Li Shiqi.

Abilities and cultivation

Late Nascent Soul cultivation

His late Nascent Soul realm supports sub-Patriarch standing and makes him a credible lone senior escort. The supplied ceremony contains no direct duel, so destructive techniques should not be invented from his title.

Corpse-Demon aura

His deathly appearance and aura underpin the Corpse Demon reputation. The text does not demonstrate whether this comes from body cultivation, corpse arts, or a transformation, so mechanics remain unspecified.

Spiritual-Sense expertise

He can assess the demands of maintaining self-awareness within a high-level illusion: strong Spiritual Sense, Dao insight, and the risk of losing one's true self. This is demonstrated theoretical expertise, not proof that Tu Luo personally passed the same trial.

Relationships

  • Li Shiqi: Junior Dao Child whom he escorts and advises.
  • Meng Hao: Candidate whose illusion performance he evaluates under the Fang Mu identity.
