Third Li Clan Patriarch

Third Li Clan Patriarch is Li Yuanlei, a peak Dao Seeking ancestor of the Li Clan. He joins the coalition against the Blood Demon Sect, is forcibly remade into Meng Hao’s Right Dharma Protector, and dies defending the Southern Domain without recovering his erased memories.

Biography

Coalition against Blood Demon Sect

Li Yuanlei enters the conflict as one of the coalition’s highest-level experts. An illusory sun and moon circle him while he resists Patriarch Blood Demon’s pressure. During the siege he joins the elevated battlefield with Patriarch Six-Daos, the Golden Frost Patriarch, and the Dawn Immortal’s clone, helping keep the Blood Demon Lord occupied while the armies below attack the sect. (Chapters 732, 736 and 738–743)

He uses the Li Clan’s legacy Feng Shui compass to release magical symbols that layer themselves into spell formations. He also expels blood filled with golden strands to support the coalition’s false Immortal power and circles the battlefield constructing restraints intended to stop Patriarch Blood Demon from escaping. These choices place the Li Clan’s inheritance directly behind an extermination campaign. (Chapters 744–747)

Forced conversion

Patriarch Blood Demon reverses the battle in Chapter 748. He detonates Li Yuanlei’s fleshly body, captures the escaping Nascent Divinity in a body of blood, and erases its memories. The resulting Blood Clone is not a voluntary defector: it retains peak Dao Seeking cultivation and Li Clan techniques while losing the identity capable of choosing how to use them. Meng Hao designates it the Right Dharma Protector. (Chapters 748–750)

Under command, the transformed patriarch attacks Emperor Black Sieve’s corpse, helps break the Solitary Sword Sect’s grand formation, and assaults his own Li Clan. He destroys the Ninth Li Clan Patriarch’s body and continues striking because he no longer recognizes his family. He later helps defend the Southern Domain against the Hellwither Nineruins curse force, using airborne sealing marks to surround enemies and pursuing the invaders with the other peak experts. (Chapters 750, 753–759 and 766–769)

Final self-detonation

Unlike the Golden Frost Patriarch, Li Yuanlei never regains lucidity. In the final battle against the Northern Reaches he continues fighting until death, then self-detonates his peak Dao Seeking cultivation. The explosion kills no opposing peak expert but severely injures three of them, materially reducing the force threatening the Southern Domain. His last act is therefore protective in effect, even though the mind carrying it out remains the Blood Demon Sect’s programmed Dharma Protector rather than the restored Li patriarch. (Chapter 772)

Appearance and personality

Before conversion, Li Yuanlei wears a brocaded garment and has flowing white hair. His speech and conduct are confident, severe, and fully committed to the coalition’s destruction of Blood Demon Sect. After his memories are erased, the narrative emphasizes bloodthirsty eyes and mechanical obedience. Any apparent later loyalty must be understood through that loss of agency rather than treated as a freely chosen change of allegiance.

Abilities and cultivation

Peak Dao Seeking cultivation

Li Yuanlei can fight at the summit below Immortal Ascension, withstand exchanges involving several Southern Domain patriarchs, and project enough cultivation power to attack sect-scale formations. His self-detonation carries the accumulated force of that realm and seriously wounds three peers, although it does not kill them.

Feng Shui compass formations

The Li Clan compass rotates around him and releases countless magical symbols. He assembles them into layered formations for attack, containment, and sealing. After conversion he can leave sealing marks beneath his path and complete a ring around a moving target, showing that the compass inheritance remains accessible without his memories.

Blood Clone body

Patriarch Blood Demon replaces the destroyed body with one formed from blood around the surviving Nascent Divinity. This preserves Li Yuanlei’s cultivation and techniques while making him a controllable Dharma Protector. It does not render him invulnerable: he can be wounded, depleted, and ultimately destroyed.

Formation assault and self-destruction

As Right Dharma Protector, he combines peak cultivation with coordinated attacks to overload large defensive formations. At the end of his life he can release the entire cultivation base in a single explosion, trading certain death for wide-area damage.

• Meng Hao: Commander who uses the mind-erased Blood Clone as his Right Dharma Protector.
• Blood Demon Lord: Destroys Li Yuanlei’s body, erases his memories, and remakes him.
• Li Clan: His original family and the later target he attacks without recognition.
