Sima Dao
Sima Dao, better known as Lord White, is the ruler of the Seventh Mountain and Sea and a concealed Outsider whose exposure turns an inter-Mountain war into the opening crisis of the greater invasion.
Biography
The ruler behind the invasion
Sima Dao's authority frames the Seventh Mountain's assault before he reaches the battlefield himself. His approach strengthens cultivators born in his Mountain and suppresses those of the Eighth, demonstrating that his office is a real connection to regional power. When he steps through the rift in white robes, commanders and hundreds of thousands of troops bow to Lord White, explicitly identifying him as Sima Dao. (Chapters 1281, 1285 and 1295)
Meng Hao blocks his advance. Their initial clash of pressure shows Sima Dao that the younger cultivator can contest a Mountain Lord, but he commits to killing the possible future Lord of the whole Realm. He cycles through five Essences, the Mountain and Sea Scripture, and the power of the Seventh Mountain, repeatedly inflicting injuries that would kill an ordinary Dao cultivator. (Chapters 1296–1300)
A battle of counters
Lord White's extermination, power, curse, land, and Timeshift Essences combine into a self-restoring world. Timeshift reverses damage to the other four, forcing an opponent to defeat not only each force but their recurrence. Meng Hao's Demon Sealing Hexes temporarily seal the entire structure. Sima Dao then uses the Mountain and Sea Scripture's Three Mountain Daos and Three Sea Magics, techniques so expensive that his longevity and body deteriorate even when they nearly kill Meng Hao. (Chapters 1298–1300)
The struggle continues through further Mountain authority, the Five Venoms of the Seventh Sea, soul-locking chains, and the Green Emperor's Eternal Incantation. Sima Dao can regenerate and can draw on his territory, but each high-level method has a price or counter: Scripture techniques consume him, sealed Essences cannot function, and Mountain power can be contested by Meng Hao's emerging relationship with the whole Realm. Outsider revealed
When Meng Hao returns with greater power, Lord White produces multiple versions of himself and survives what should be fatal attacks. Lonelytomb's anti-Outsider power strips away the concealment and exposes his true aura. The Mountain and Sea Realm immediately rejects him, the nine Xuanwu roar, and its will orders his execution. This is revelation of an existing nature and allegiance, not a sudden battlefield conversion. (Chapters 1310–1313)
The 33 Heavens threatens to begin the invasion early if the Realm kills him. Its will pauses, valuing preparation over one traitor's death. Meng Hao refuses the bargain. He uses Lonelytomb to destroy the remaining bodies and kills Sima Dao despite the threat. The crown of the Seventh Mountain falls from him, his palace turns to ash, and the Xuanwu's bond to its former Lord disappears. The 33 Heavens then begins its descent. (Chapters 1314–1315)
Appearance and personality
Sima Dao appears as a middle-aged man in white robes, with hair floating around him under immense pressure. He is controlled, authoritarian, and relentlessly confident in rank, yet his inner reactions reveal fear when Meng Hao breaks systems he considers absolute. He values merit with the Outsiders over the people whose Mountain he rules.
Abilities and cultivation
Five-Essences world
Extermination destroys; power disrupts both cultivation and physical force; curse invades and withers the body; land manifests planets and continents as crushing substance; and Timeshift reverses the sequence so defeated Essences return. Together they form an enclosed world rather than five isolated projectiles. Demon Sealing can sever his connection to that construct and cause backlash.
Mountain and Sea Lord authority
His crown and office let him suppress enemies born in another Mountain, empower Seventh Mountain cultivators, drain power from the Seventh Sea, and call regional Mountain-and-Sea force. The authority is positional: after his death the crown returns to the Mountain to await a successor.
Mountain and Sea Scripture
The Scripture's Three Mountain Daos transform body and force into escalating mountain strikes. Its Three Sea Magics attack body, bloodline, and imperial dominion, while the Eight Soulbanes lock the starry sky against escaping souls. These Paragon-level methods exact an enormous cost in longevity and bodily condition, limiting repeated use.
Regeneration, copies, and Outsider nature
The Green Emperor's Eternal Incantation restores severe damage, and his concealed Outsider nature supports multiple bodies or versions that scatter to survive. These defenses remain connected to an Outsider essence; Lonelytomb can expose and annihilate that connection, while the Realm itself becomes hostile once concealment fails.
