Dao Fang

Dao Fang is an ancient ape-like Paragon who betrays the Mountain and Sea Realm, destroys the Eighth Mountain and Sea with one staff strike, and later guards the 33 Heavens until Meng Hao returns for vengeance.

Biography

Ancient name and projected power

Dao Fang's name first surfaces through the ancient power behind the Windswept Realm, identifying an existence whose history reaches beyond the current Mountain and Sea order. He is not initially present in person; the revelation establishes the authority attached to the name and its connection to old restrictions and suppressions. (Chapter 1114)

Much later, Lord White summons a stream of Dao Fang's divine will through the Star-Chain Eight Soulbanes. The projection is an enormous crimson-eyed monkey carrying a staff and radiating Paragon power. It should have been overwhelming in Lord White's battle with Meng Hao, but the Divine Flame inside Meng Hao recognizes the ancient enemy who suppressed it. The flame forms its own furious figure and engages the projection, turning Lord White's reinforcement into a collision between older grudges. (Chapters 1300–1301)

Destruction of the Eighth Mountain

Dao Fang arrives in person during the final Outsider invasion as an Eight-Essences Paragon aligned with the 33 Heavens. A sacrificed summons draws his deep-gold staff down from the top of the starry sky. One strike shatters the entire Eighth Mountain and Sea, killing countless cultivators and destroying one of the Realm's great structures before its defenders can regroup. He immediately turns the extending staff toward the retreating survivors and the Ninth Mountain. (Chapters 1383–1384)

Shui Dongliu blocks the second strike and forces the staff back, revealing a limit absent from the massacre of the Eighth Mountain: Dao Fang's realm-destroying force can be resisted by an expert at Shui Dongliu's level. The two later fight while other Mountain and Sea Chosen hold off Imperial Lords. Dao Fang's choice is nevertheless decisive. He is not a neutral ancient weapon; he personally joins the Outsider charge and continues contributing to the Realm's collapse. (Chapters 1383–1396)

Guardian of the Aeon Span and punishment

After the war, Dao Fang stands watch over the Aeon Span and the 33 Heavens. He relies on a mist barrier and protective seals whose auras derive from the Immortal God and Devil Realm Continents, safeguards that have frightened away previous challengers. When Meng Hao returns at the head of the Vast Expanse School's army, those protections are torn apart. Dao Fang recognizes that the vanguard alone contains numerous Nine-Essences powers and borderline Transcendents, and his former confidence becomes panic before he even identifies Meng Hao. (Chapters 1544–1546)

Meng Hao singles him out for the destruction of the Eighth Mountain and centuries of killing challengers. He dismantles Dao Fang's body while preventing escape or self-destruction, extracts his blood, and uses it to locate 375 compatible bloodlines. He exterminates those lines, severs Dao Fang's Karmic connections, and removes the soul. Rather than granting death, Meng Hao casts it into a fire intended to burn for as long as Meng Hao lives. The ending is deliberate retaliatory punishment, not a balanced duel: Transcendent Meng Hao has advanced so far beyond Dao Fang that the former realm-destroyer cannot meaningfully resist. Appearance and personality

Dao Fang is a gigantic humanoid monkey or ape, covered in fur and carrying a massive deep-gold staff. His projection has crimson eyes, and his personal arrival is large enough to make the weapon seem as though it is being wielded by a giant across the starry sky. In defeat, his fur stands on end and his outward ferocity collapses into visible fear. (Chapters 1300–1301, 1383 and 1545–1547)

He is ruthless, arrogant when protected by superior force, and committed to the 33 Heavens against the Mountain and Sea Realm. His cold response after destroying the Eighth Mountain shows no hesitation over mass death. Centuries later he treats the Aeon Span's inherited protections as assurance that no challenger can reach him; when those safeguards fail, confidence becomes disbelief and desperation. Abilities and cultivation

Eight-Essences Paragon cultivation

Dao Fang joins the Outsider leadership as one of three Eight-Essences Paragons. This lets him shape realm-scale war, but it remains below the Nine-Essences and Transcendent forces that later return with Meng Hao. (Chapters 1383–1384 and 1545)

Divine-will projection

A stream of his will can be summoned across enormous distance by the Star-Chain Eight Soulbanes, forming a staff-wielding projection with Paragon energy. The projection is powerful but not identical to his full body and can be occupied by an opposing Paragon-level flame soul. (Chapters 1300–1301)

Deep-gold staff

His signature weapon can expand across the starry sky and concentrate enough force to shatter the Eighth Mountain and Sea in one strike. Shui Dongliu blocks its follow-up against the Ninth Mountain, proving the feat depends on target, opposition, and timing rather than unlimited destructive authority. (Chapters 1383 and 1386)

Aeon Span formations

Dao Fang can activate the Span, manipulate Vast Expanse mist into a barrier, and invoke inherited protective auras. These defenses deter ordinary challengers but collapse against Meng Hao's Transcendent authority and army. (Chapters 1544–1546)

Ancient longevity and bloodline

He survives across immense spans and has hundreds of compatible bloodline connections. Those connections become a vulnerability once Meng Hao takes his blood and applies superior Karmic power to trace them. (Chapter 1547)
