Marquis Lu
Marquis Lu, personal name Lu Yunli, is one of the Seventh Mountain's three marquises and the prepared host for an Outsider power.
Biography
A father's intervention
Marquis Lu first appears as a gray projection in black battle armor when his son provokes Meng Hao. The projection carries Four-Essences pressure but cannot prevent Meng Hao from killing the younger man. The loss transforms a regional military confrontation into a personal vendetta. (Chapter 1283)
Lu Yunli then arrives in person with tens of thousands of troops. Although Lord White has broader plans for the invasion, Marquis Lu attacks the Meng Clan because his son's death outweighs restraint. His rank and army give him confidence against ordinary opposition, yet Meng Hao's power forces him to rely on a hidden preparation tied to the 33 Heavens. (Chapters 1285–1286)
The host beneath the marquis
The totem on Marquis Lu's body calls down the soul of a Heavenly Devil Outside. Activating it burns his longevity and causes extreme pain before consciousness and bodily control give way. Black mist enters him, and the body expands into a thirty-meter, green-scaled Outsider with eight horns and a transverse mouth. The text explains that the host was prepared over a long period; this is possession and transformation, not evidence that Lu Yunli was naturally born in that form. (Chapter 1287)
The transformed host uses embedded wooden logs marked with symbols, elemental attacks, and a basilisk-like projection of the remote entity's true self. Meng Hao destroys the body and traces the soul-link toward the greater Outsider behind it. That counterattack causes Marquis Lu's head to explode and ends the host's life. His memories and the aftermath continue to inform Meng Hao, but Lu Yunli himself does not survive past the battle. (Chapter 1288)
Appearance and personality
As a marquis, Lu Yunli wears black war armor and projects severe military authority. Grief and fury dominate his final decisions: he prioritizes revenge for his son even when it compromises larger orders. The later scaled body belongs to the possession process and should not be read as his normal appearance.

Marquis Lu's normal cultivation supports a powerful remote projection and marquis-level combat. The supplied text does not isolate all four of his personal Essences, so they are not invented here.
Outsider-host transformation
The totem opens his body to an external soul and temporarily raises the host to power capable of contesting a Five-Essences expert. The cost is explicit: longevity burns, pain overwhelms him, and the invading consciousness takes control. Once transformed, the body gains green scales, horns, tremendous strength, elemental manifestations, and symbol-covered wooden structures that help channel the distant entity.
Soul-link limitation
The transformation depends on a connection between host and remote true self. That increases power but creates a path Meng Hao can exploit with soulsearching and counterforce. Destroying the local body and striking through the link proves fatal to Marquis Lu.
