Lu Song

Lu Song is a Violet Qi Division disciple who helps turn Meng Hao’s ordinary iron spear into an enormously expensive fraud. Years later he unknowingly befriends Meng Hao’s Fang Mu identity through an alchemy commission and ultimately guards the spear as a revered sect relic.

Rival bidder

Lu Song enters Eccentric Song’s trial with Qian Shuihen and sees prestigious Violet Fate disciples treating Meng Hao’s spear as a treasure from Patriarch Reliance. He and Qian compete rather than cooperate, each fearing that the other will secure an incomparable opportunity. The bidding escalates beyond their resources, forcing loans and leaving the eventual buyers impoverished. (Chapters 50–56)

Wu Dingqiu’s distant roar confirms the weapon is ordinary. Lu spends years repaying the debt while the sect exhibits the spear as a warning. His hatred of Meng Hao becomes bound to both lost wealth and public embarrassment, ensuring that later generations know the story even when they have never met its participants. (Chapter 57)

Unrecognized encounters

At the Song Clan gathering, Lu and Qian see Meng Hao again but cannot act against a cultivator whose strength and reputation have already outgrown their grievance. Later, Lu commissions the East Pill master alchemist Li Tao to make a Six Harmonies Pill. Fang Mu assists with the difficult concoction, and Lu treats the promising apprentice warmly while complaining about the villain Meng Hao. Li Tao produces two pills instead of the expected one, giving Lu a successful return on his commission. Keeper of the spear

By Chapter 759, Lu serves beside Qian in the Honor Guard and tends the displayed spear. Meng Hao’s return transforms the meaning of the object. Lu’s former rage becomes fervent admiration, and he accepts the duty of protecting the relic.
