Long Tianhai

Long Tianhai is the foremost of the Nine Seas God World's nine Sea Realm Demons and a high-ranking Sea Dragon of the Demonic Cultivator Horde. He turns a golden-gate wager into a plan to seize Meng Hao's Echelon place, then uses Chu Yuyan as leverage when the public challenge does not guarantee Meng Hao's defeat.

Biography

Nine Seas and the Windswept Realm

Long Tianhai first appears leading the nine Sea Realm Demons as they repeatedly surpass Meng Hao's deliberately modest golden-gate rankings. His calm disdain conceals a larger plan. When Meng Hao turns the taunts into a wager, Long Tianhai raises the stakes from limbs to Meng Hao's Echelon qualification and confers with a higher authority before accepting three hundred million Immortal jades as the Horde's counter-stake. Meng Hao recognizes schemes beneath the performance, but delays his answer for a month. (Chapters 1053–1054)

Before the deadline, the Horde uses an image of Long Tianhai to threaten Meng Hao with knowledge of Chen Fan, Li Fugui, and Chu Yuyan. Meng Hao follows the Karma of Chu Yuyan's image, rescues her from the prepared death trap, and attacks Long Tianhai's projected body outside the sect. Damage to the projection crosses the Karmic link into the true body: Nine Heavens Destruction tears him apart, and the Fifth Hex consumes half his regenerated body. His inborn regeneration restores him twice, but leaves his qi and blood reduced by more than half and turns arrogance into terror. (Chapters 1060–1061)

Meng Hao then fights through the Horde to Long Tianhai's Immortal's cave. Long activates prepared mountain defenses and sacrifices life force and dragon blood to the Nine Seas God World's grand formation, but the borrowed Stone Golems can only last half an incense stick. Meng Hao destroys them, seizes Long in Sea Dragon form, and seals him before the approaching patriarch can intervene. In the ensuing assembly, the Horde's hostage tactic is exposed and Godmaster removes the Echelon from the wager. Meng Hao executes Long publicly by removing and crushing his heart, extracting its final white heart-blood for Chu Yuyan. (Chapters 1073–1075)

Appearance and personality

Long Tianhai's human appearance is not emphasized; his true form is a 300-meter pitch-black Sea Dragon with a white forehead scale marking high status. Cool arrogance masks calculation and unusual caution. He prepares layered defenses, relies on patriarchal protection, and only becomes openly desperate after Meng Hao proves able to attack his true body through Karma.

Abilities and cultivation

Sea Dragon body and regeneration

Long's true body supplies exceptional life force and regenerative ability. He reconstructs himself after Nine Heavens Destruction leaves only his head, then regenerates again after the Fifth Hex consumes half his body. Each restoration has a steep cumulative cost: after two uses, his qi and blood fall by more than half. Manifesting the full 300-meter dragon under pressure also consumes life force.

Projection and Karmic vulnerability

He can act through an illusory form while his true body remains inside the sect. This allows remote intimidation and reduces ordinary physical risk, but the projection preserves a Karma Thread to its source. Meng Hao uses that thread both to transfer damage into Long's body and to locate him. Long can try to sever the connection, yet he is too slow once Meng Hao grips it.

God World Grand Spell Formation

By sacrificing dragon blood and life force, Long borrows the Nine Seas God World's protective grand formation. Mountains collapse into Stone Golems carrying the aura of seven or eight extinguished Soul Lamps, and destroyed golems can re-form while connected to the sect. The defense is prearranged and powerful but temporary—at most half an incense stick—and Meng Hao's heightened state can erase the golems from their link.

Sea Dragon heart-blood

The white blood refined from a Sea Dragon heart is a powerful restorative resource. Long possesses nine stored drops and yields a tenth when Meng Hao crushes his living heart. Meng Hao combines them to treat Chu Yuyan. The resource is inseparable from lethal extraction in Long's final scene and is not a freely repeatable healing technique.
