Guru Heavencloud

Guru Heavencloud is the wealthy master of the Heavencloud Bazaar and a great-circle Ancient Realm expert who has delayed the lethal attempt to enter the Dao Realm for years. After using deadly force against Meng Hao, he is cornered by the Fang Clan and chooses Dao Stepping as his only possible escape.

Biography

Nine Seas and the Windswept Realm

Guru Heavencloud's conflict begins when the Heavencloud Bazaar attempts to judge and punish Meng Hao without understanding his importance to the Fang Clan. In battle, Heavencloud relies on the bazaar's accumulated wealth: poisonous swords, banners, statues, blood dust, medicinal pills, a compass, and Ancient treasures form layered attacks and defenses. Meng Hao steadily destroys these reserves and forces him backward. Fang Shoudao then seals the asteroid field and orders the bazaar wiped out, leaving Heavencloud without disciples, exits, or political protection. (Chapters 1157–1162)

Heavencloud invokes the Dao rather than accept execution. The Dao Stepping path brings nine tribulations; lightning wounds him, and the Weapon Tribulation repels him before he can establish stable Essences. Recognizing that he cannot succeed, he withdraws the remaining natural law and Essence into his body and becomes Quasi-Dao. This grants power beyond the great circle of the Ancient Realm, but only about a century of life if he avoids battle. (Chapters 1162–1163)

The Mountain and Sea War Generals from the third tribulation answer Meng Hao and strip decades from Heavencloud with their attacks. Knowing death is unavoidable, he requests a final one-on-one fight. Each exchange burns his remaining longevity from years to months, days, and finally nothing; Meng Hao's three-fist sequence breaks him, and his body turns to ash without a surviving soul. Appearance and personality

Heavencloud is resourceful, wealthy, and initially condescending. Once the Fang Clan mobilizes, fear and regret replace his certainty, but he externalizes blame onto Meng Hao instead of accepting his own choices. His last request to fight directly gives his desperation a measure of resolve even after the failed breakthrough.

Magical-item arsenal

Heavencloud's signature battle style uses the bazaar's wealth rather than a narrow set of personal spells. A black blood drop becomes a murderous mosquito that drains a sea of blood; a poisonous flying sword divides into hundreds of sword-lights; a white banner forms nine defensive Cloud Dragons; a Feng Shui compass releases ghosts; statues, blood dust, and lightning pills combine into a multicolored offensive wave. The items can counter individual techniques, but Meng Hao's transformed body and Divine Flame destroy them faster than Heavencloud can replace them.

One Breath Shatters the Heavens

By exhaling, Heavencloud alters surrounding natural laws and draws Essences into a personal Daoist magic. The breath can meet Meng Hao's Life-Extermination Fist and generate enormous backlash. It still loses ground when Meng Hao repeatedly redirects that backlash while advancing.

Dao Stepping and Quasi-Dao

At the great circle of the Ancient Realm, Heavencloud can summon the Dao path and attempt its nine tribulations. His Dao heart is unstable and his Essences have not converged, so he fails during the Weapon Tribulation. Absorbing the remnants creates Quasi-Dao power capable of troubling a one-Essence Dao expert, but converts those incomplete laws and Essences into a constantly consumed reserve of life. Combat accelerates the loss, making every powerful exchange literally shorten his remaining existence.
