Golden Crow

Golden Crow is the ancient spirit paired with the Ancestor Greenwood Tree and one source of the Crow Divinity legacy.

Biography

Awakening over the Holy Land

The Golden Crow emerges in five-colored light when the Western Desert beast tide threatens the Holy Land. Its arrival creates a tempest that scatters the attackers, establishing it as an active guardian rather than a decorative totem. It later conceals itself atop the Ancestor Greenwood Tree in a weakened state. (Chapter 396)

Meng Hao's presence draws the crow's attention. As expedition cultivators fight over the Greenwood inheritance, the spirit watches him and the emerging signs of Demonic Ascension. Its history is linked to the great tree: after its creation it acquired a spirit and transformed into the Golden Crow, making bird and woman forms expressions of one identity. (Chapters 429–431)

Choice at the inheritance

When competing elders attempt desperate attacks and self-destruction, the woman-form Golden Crow speaks the phrase “If Not a Pill,” intervening at the turning point of the inheritance. Its recognition supports Meng Hao's connection to the Holy Land and helps deny the legacy to those treating it as plunder. (Chapter 432)

The Crow's bodily vitality continues to decline, but its spiritual contribution survives in the Golden Crow Clan's metal totem and in remnant True Spirit will. During later danger around Meng Hao, that will manifests again, showing that death or dormancy of the original body does not erase the legacy's capacity to respond. (Chapters 514 and 535)

Appearance and personality

Its common form is a crow associated with golden radiance, though the weakened bird can appear black. It can also take the form of a golden woman. The spirit is ancient, watchful, and extremely sparing with speech, judging claimants by their relationship to the legacy rather than by force alone.

Abilities and cultivation

Guardian tempest

Its emergence releases five-colored light and a vast storm capable of dispersing a beast tide. The effect is large-scale but tied to awakening and Holy Land defense, not shown as a repeatedly cast ordinary spell.

Form transformation

The same spirit can appear as crow or woman. The female shape permits speech and deliberate intervention; it is not a separate character.

Metal totem and True Spirit will

The Golden Crow supplies the metal aspect in Meng Hao's five-element totem system. Even after bodily decline, remnant will persists and can manifest under sufficient danger. This continuity preserves recognition and intent, but the remnant is not shown sustaining full independent life indefinitely.

Relationships

  • Ancestor Greenwood Tree: Ancient counterpart and refuge with which its legacy is intertwined.
  • Meng Hao: Cultivator whose Demonic Ascension and later danger draw its recognition.
  • Golden Crow Clan: Successor community carrying its name and totemic legacy.

Items

No portable item is assigned to the Golden Crow; its metal totem is a spiritual legacy rather than an object it carries.
