Fang Yu

Fang Yu is Meng Hao's forceful elder sister, a Fang Clan body cultivator whose harsh manner conceals fierce loyalty to her family.

Biography

Rebirth Cave representative

Fang Yu first appears as a formidable young Fang Clan representative near Ji Hongdong at the Rebirth Cave. She enters Choumen Tai's corpse with the other great powers and, inside its mental realm, directly demands the Immortal scripture from the Ji Clan heir. Her intervention diverts Ji Hongdong from Meng Hao, although neither young man yet frames her actions through the sibling relationship later revealed. (Chapters 296–302)

When the mental realm collapses, Fang Yu attacks and pursues Meng Hao with overwhelming physical strength. The encounter presents her as an imperious rival from a great clan rather than a protective sister, because Meng Hao's Fang bloodline and childhood connection are still hidden from him. Her willingness to confront both Ji and Meng figures establishes independence from the deference normally expected around those names. (Chapters 303–309)

Demon Immortal Sect expedition

Fang Yu later moves toward the Ji Clan ancestral mansion during the Western Desert events and joins the South Heaven cultivators entering the Primordial Demon Immortal Plane. She competes through the First Plane and subsequent transitions as one of the stronger expedition members. The ancient setting repeatedly places every modern Chosen beneath forces they cannot fully understand, and Fang Yu is ultimately caught in the Greater Demon's illusion until Meng Hao's attack restores temporary clarity. Meng Hao's elder sister

Meng Hao's recovered childhood memories reveal Fang Yu as his strict but protective elder sister. During his repeated Nirvanic Rebirths as a child, she watches his suffering and reacts to helplessness by fighting anyone available. Her severity toward him is part affection and part refusal to display grief openly. Once the memories return, her earlier forcefulness can be understood as a stable family trait rather than hostility invented at the Rebirth Cave. (Chapters 799–800)

Fang Yu emerges from seclusion for a long-awaited reunion and immediately resumes the elder-sister role that Meng Hao's lost childhood had interrupted. She revisits old places with him and treats his growing power as no reason to abandon family familiarity. Nine Seas and the Windswept Realm

Fang Yu remains connected to Meng Hao during the Windswept Realm crisis and reunites with the arriving Fang Clan on Planet South Heaven. She stays close to the family as their father Fang Xiufeng is appointed Clan Chief and faces Allheaven Tribulation. Meng Clan and the Mountain and Sea War

During the Mountain and Sea war, Fang Yu stands with her family through reserve mobilization, Dao Tribulation, the defense of Planet South Heaven, and the retreat from the collapsing Realm. Allheaven projects Fang Yu as part of the false family used to trap Meng Hao. Like the other projected loved ones, this version exploits attachment rather than representing an ordinary return of the real person. The real Fang Yu later shares the Mountain and Sea survivors' shock at Meng Hao's return, participates in the restored family's preparations, and remains present as he confronts the traitorous Ninth Sea and bestows that title anew.
