Eyeless Larva

Eyeless Larva is the mutant larva given to Meng Hao by Hanxue Bao. After consuming Mulberry Thunderclap Leaves, it undergoes a unique metamorphosis into a nearly indestructible Eyeless Celestial Larva.

Biography

Metamorphosis and Tribulation

Hanxue Bao gives Meng Hao a mutant Frigid Snow Larva capable of recognizing two masters. It bonds to Meng Hao, consumes a vast quantity of Mulberry Thunderclap Leaves, develops nine eye-like circles, and seals itself in a cocoon. When it emerges, it gives the only cry of its lifetime. The sound silences the world for one breath and takes that breath's life force from surrounding beings, completing its change into an Eyeless Celestial Larva. (Chapters 380–383)

The metamorphosis produces effectively unbreakable silk and a bond through which the larva instinctively protects Meng Hao. During his Tribulation it wraps him in thread, splits three-colored lightning, withstands five-colored bolts, and forms a final cocoon around his exhausted body. Afterward it contracts into a white ring, allowing protection to remain physically close without a large exposed beast form. (Chapters 384–388)

Totem and defensive silk

The larva merges with Li Tian's treasure to form a convincing totem tattoo on Meng Hao's hand. From that mark it can deploy shields, cutting strands, bindings, and drag lines. It blocks an Outlander Beast, helps defend Meng Hao while he suppresses the Resurrection Lily, cuts neo-demons into blood, and stops self-detonation force from reaching him. (Chapters 391, 409, 417, 421 and 442–458)

Meng Hao also uses a strand as the structural core of the Ji Clan Blood Clone. This does not transfer the whole larva into the clone; its silk supplies a nearly indestructible framework while the bonded creature remains with Meng Hao. (Chapters 487 and 494)

Southern Domain War and Dao Seeking

After Meng Hao's body dies, the Eyeless Larva's silk remains wrapped tightly around his soul. Because the larva and its thread preserve one another, the thread prevents his soul from departing; it is drawn back into his restored body when the Bridge of Life is completed. This suspended state between life and death also gives Meng Hao the insight needed to reach the Eternal stratum. (Chapters 691–693)

Meng Clan and the Mountain and Sea War

The Eyeless Larva returns during Meng Hao's extraordinary showdown, functioning as one of the unusual legacy creatures and resources accumulated across his cultivation journey. (Chapter 1297)

Appearance and personality

It changes from a mutant larva with nine eye-like circles into an eyeless white celestial creature, then often rests as a white ring or totem mark. It has little humanlike personality, but its perfect bond produces immediate instinctive protection whenever Meng Hao faces lethal force.

Abilities and cultivation

Once-in-a-lifetime cry

The metamorphosis cry arrests the surroundings for one breath and steals that breath's life force. Its explicit single-use condition prevents treating it as a repeatable battlefield technique. (Chapters 382–383)

Unbreakable silk

The transformed larva spins thread that resists Tribulation, self-detonation, beasts, and high-level attacks. It can form shields or cocoons, but defenses may dissipate under sufficient pressure and must be positioned around the target. (Chapters 384–387 and 409–458)

Binding and cutting

Fine strands can restrain, pull, or slice targets, giving the same material offensive and control applications. Range depends on spun thread and Meng Hao's deployment rather than unrestricted remote force. (Chapters 421 and 457–458)

Soul preservation

After Meng Hao's body dies, silk around his soul prevents departure and returns with him through the Bridge of Life. Larva and thread preserve each other, enabling suspension between life and death rather than independently resurrecting him. (Chapters 691–693)

Totemic and item interaction

Li Tian's treasure turns the bonded creature into a credible totem mark, while a separate strand cores the Ji Blood Clone. These are applications of its silk and bond, not new innate identities. (Chapters 391 and 487)
