Dongluo Han

Dongluo Han is a pragmatic Dongluo Clan representative whose attempts to manage Meng Hao move from conciliation to failed coercion.

Biography

Negotiating after a failed accusation

After Dongluo Ling's group confronts Meng Hao over her Scarlet Peacock, Dongluo Han recognizes that continuing the fight is dangerous. He identifies himself, apologizes for the misunderstanding, and trades face-saving courtesy for the release of his people. A black city medallion gives Meng Hao auction access and privileges while allowing the clan to withdraw without public defeat. (Chapter 328)

At the clan chief's direction, Dongluo Han explores recruitment. He offers auction credit and proposes Dongluo Ling as a marriage connection, treating Meng Hao's strength as an asset the clan might absorb. When Meng Hao instead steals an auction item in full view of its owners, Dongluo Han prepares a diplomatic response but can only react with a wry smile to the audacity. (Chapters 329–331)

Captive in the moving formation

The relationship breaks down when a Nascent Soul patriarch leads a delegation to force Meng Hao's compliance. Dongluo Han accompanies it but carries an apologetic air and is visibly alarmed by the escalating threats. The parrot's mobile fog formation traps the entire group. Meng Hao finds Dongluo Han alert with Core qi deployed, seals his cultivation with one strike, and renders him unconscious rather than killing him. (Chapters 346–348)

The captives are carried toward Dongluo City. Under Righteous Bestowal and the Lotus Sword Formation's Time power, Dongluo Han remains mentally aware while his body, the leaves, and the landscape visibly age. Years later he still remembers the helplessness of witnessing that decay. (Chapter 350)

Appearance and personality

He is a middle-aged man with a restrained, diplomatic manner. More flexible than Dongluo Ling and less domineering than the clan patriarchs, he repeatedly searches for an arrangement that preserves the clan's interests. His caution does not let him overrule senior orders.

Abilities and cultivation

Mid Core Formation cultivation

Dongluo Han can deploy Core qi, fly, and serve in senior delegations. His vigilant defense inside the fog is genuine but insufficient against Meng Hao's speed and sealing force.

Diplomacy and recruitment

He uses apology, city privileges, credit, and marriage alliance as graduated tools. These methods prevent bloodshed in the first encounter and show political skill, but they depend on both parties accepting the clan's framework.

Explicit limits

He has no demonstrated counter to large-scale formation fog, cultivation sealing, or Time erosion. His authority is representative rather than supreme; clan elders can take the relationship in a direction he privately considers dangerous.
