Lee Baek

Lee Baek is an intimidating tutorial survivor who builds Busan Station's largest violent faction by combining physical threat with the voice-magnifying ability Lion's Roar. He is usually an early antagonist who targets weaker survivors, particularly Sim Ah-ryeon. Replayed tutorials and alternate routes later place the same commanding talent in tournament and coalition settings, without erasing the brutality that defines his ordinary-cycle role. Biography

The loudest faction in the tutorial

Lee Baek exploits the panic of Busan Station to gather the largest aggressive survivor group. Carrying a nail-studded club and amplifying his voice across the crowd, he makes intimidation sound like collective judgment. Sim Ah-ryeon becomes an intended victim, prompting Undertaker to intervene. In repeated and reconstructed versions of the tutorial, Lee Baek remains the figure who turns fear into status and uses a frightened majority as an extension of personal violence. Later scenarios replay rather than redeem that pattern. A tournament forces Lee Baek into direct competition, where Seo Gyu defeats the swaggering faction leader. One branch nevertheless places him among coalition combatants, showing that Lion's Roar can coordinate a battlefield as effectively as it manipulates civilians. Another route has Undertaker eliminate him immediately to protect Ah-ryeon, making his ultimate role depend on which cycle reaches him first. (Chapters 275, 278, 281, 433, and 447)

Appearance and personality

Lee Baek is a large, intimidating thug who carries a wooden stick driven with nails. His size, weapon, and magnified voice create a deliberately overwhelming public presence. He is aggressive, manipulative, status-seeking, and quick to exploit uncertainty, preferring control of a crowd to persuasion between equals. Alternate command scenes reveal useful decisiveness, but they do not establish a gentler underlying personality. (Chapters 24, 100–102, 281, and 433)

Abilities and skills

Lion's Roar, also described as Amplifier, magnifies Lee Baek's voice and the social pressure it exerts across groups. In tutorials he uses it to sway frightened survivors and reinforce his faction's dominance. In an alternate allied branch, the same reach can function as battlefield command. No other named ability or formal advancement stage is established; the difference between tyrant and commander comes from context and allegiance rather than a stronger version of the power.
