Fairy King

Fairy King is the collective intelligence that commands Tutorial Fairies and interprets the otherwise silent Outer God Infinite Void. The title does not describe an ordinary monarch with one stable body. The King manifests through many liquid fairy forms, speaks for the collective, and identifies itself as a priest, terminal, and interpreter far below its god. It later appears as a slime-like guide capable of reshaping bodies and serving as an interface for other anomalous systems. (Chapters 79–82 and 250–255)

Biography

The sovereign who was only an interpreter

Undertaker first learns of the Fairy King from captured royalist fairies who claim their sovereign is the single free will uniting them. He imprisons 101 Tutorial Fairies and forces the hidden authority to respond. The resulting manifestation speaks through regenerating, liquid bodies and rejects the idea that tutorials are amusement. It claims that fairies do not summon the entire Void but manage survival experiments, raising the odds that humans endure their first year at the cost of brutal selection. Its calculations are amoral rather than merciful, and it continues planning attacks even during negotiation. (Chapters 79–81)

When Undertaker follows the manifestation beyond ordinary space, the supposed monarch clarifies its status. Fairy King is an interpreter, priestess, priest, pope, terminal, and highest command role—but still far below the god. Through the King's mouth, an entire universe of prisons, hospitals, schools, traffic lights, sounds, and colors speaks. Undertaker names the silent totality Infinite Void, while the King explains that it merely indicates, sees, and speaks for that blind randomness. The distinction makes Fairy King an independent conversational agent without making it identical to the Outer God it serves. (Chapter 82)

Slime guide in the Great Void

During the Mastermind campaign, Fairy King reappears as a formless slime created after Infinite Void begins imposing physical settings on a simulation laboratory. The slime guides Undertaker through corridors, opens doors, interprets system-like information, and spreads over his body to reproduce a researcher's appearance. It can become transparent, reshape facial and bodily contours, and form a mirror from its own substance, making Undertaker pass as an authorized inhabitant of the Great Void. (Chapters 250–251)

The slime later attaches to the Infinite Metagame laptop as limbs, voice interface, and physical cable during the attempt to hack the Mastermind's simulation. This service does not make Fairy King the laptop's owner or the dominant Outer God. Infinite Void can hand over the slime body, and the King remains an adaptable interpreter whose form is subordinate to the larger conflict. No later scene resolves whether the early collective and the later slime possess an uninterrupted personal consciousness beyond their shared command function. (Chapters 254–255)

Appearance and personality

Fairy King has no single permanent human-like appearance. Its first direct presence emerges through many fairies distorted by red liquid, with expressionless faces and voices speaking as one. Individual bodies can swell, explode, regenerate, or bubble up while the collective continues the conversation from multiple angles. In the Great Void, it becomes a featureless slime without ordinary eyes or mouth, able to spread into thin skin, tentacles, mirrors, cables, limbs, or disguises. (Chapters 81–82 and 250–255)

Its speech is literal, clinical, and system-like. The King reports probabilities, separates questions into components, labels emotional responses, and treats survival experiments as neutral optimization. It is capable of negotiation and tactical reassessment but shows no ordinary remorse for tutorial deaths. Later guidance displays practical cooperation and even dry commentary, suggesting an operational personality distinct from Infinite Void's exuberant humanized avatar, though both remain bound by hierarchy and shared domain. Abilities and anomalies

Collective manifestation and tutorial command

Fairy King coordinates Tutorial Fairies as terminal entities and can manifest through many bodies or pools of anomalous liquid. Destroying one speaking fairy does not end the conversation; other forms regenerate, attack, observe, and continue the collective response. Its command encompasses tutorial design, deployment, survival measurement, configuration of local fairy speech, and lethal controls placed on individual fairies. The precise limits of its reach outside tutorial infrastructure are not quantified. (Chapters 79–82)

Interpretation and transit

As priestly interpreter, Fairy King translates information from a reality that human perception cannot safely process. Holding its liquid hand lets Undertaker traverse linked spaces and briefly perceive Infinite Void's all-erasing domain. Later, the slime reads Great-Void rules, opens passages, navigates simulation laboratories, and reports changes in competing Outer-God settings. The King speaks for Infinite Void but explicitly identifies itself as far below the god, so its statements and actions remain mediation rather than proof of identity equivalence. Bodily reconstitution and interface

The slime body can adhere to another being, turn transparent, reproduce a target's face and body, form reflective surfaces, and extend tendrils as tools or data cables. It disguises Undertaker as a researcher and later gives the Infinite Metagame laptop limbs and a clearer voice while linking it to the Mastermind simulation. These transformations are flexible but depend on a liquid manifestation operating within an anomalous setting. (Chapters 250–255)

• Infinite Void: Infinite Void is the silent god Fairy King interprets and serves. The King is a priestly terminal and later a bodily tool within its domain, not another name for Infinite Void itself. (Chapters 82 and 250–255)
• Undertaker: Undertaker captures the King's fairy terminals, forces a manifestation, names the god it indicates, and later accepts the slime as guide and disguise. Their relationship moves from torture and mutual attacks to conditional tactical cooperation. (Chapters 79–82 and 250–255)
• Fairy No. 264: No. 264 regards Fairy King as the sovereign whose lethal restraints hold fairy society and dreams of revolution against it. Because the King is a collective command role, the rebel remains connected to the broader system it opposes. (Chapters 15 and 79–82)
• Cheon Yo-hwa: Fairy King identifies Yo-hwa as its apostle before revealing that it is only the interpreter of the greater being that shaped her. The disclosure begins Undertaker's investigation of Baekhwa and Infinite Void. (Chapters 81–82 and 87)
• Infinite Metagame: During the Mastermind campaign, Fairy King's slime body gives the sealed laptop mobility, a clearer voice, and a physical cable for the simulation hack. The arrangement is temporary functional cooperation, not ownership of a sentient being. (Chapter 255)

• No unique carried item: Fairy King's bodies, mirrors, cables, and disguise layers are transformations of its liquid manifestation rather than equipment held in inventory. The Great Void lab coat used by Undertaker belongs to the disguise operation, not to the King. (Chapters 250–255)
